Thanks Spartan Precision Rifles (Marc Soulie) for building me a kick-ass rifle that is a hammer and wind cheater. I couldn't of had asked for anything better. It turned out beyond perfect.

This project originally started as a 6.5 Creedmoor build. I sent Marc an old Remington 700 action and a few other parts that I wanted to use. However, the build took an unusual turn after I was fortunate enough to win a GAP 6.5 Creedmoor. Marc was kind enough to put the project on hold, and I purchased a Surgeon 591 for the new build that we discussed, the 6 Creedmoor. The turn-around was pleasantly quick. During the entire process Marc was easily accessible and kept in touch. He's a hell of guy to do business with and I highly recommend him to anyone who is considering a new build. You just can't go wrong with him and his principles.

The stock was painted by ARP, Ontargetcustoms.net. This camo pattern in particular is called ARP-ATAC. His work is incredible. Pictures of his work don't do it justice. He's also very cheap. You can pay him in Cajeta or Mole. The guy loves that shit. Go figure!!!

I am looking forward to shooting this at the brawl. get my ammo loaded!!

Nice rifle man!

How do you like the Kahles 624, what reticle did you get?

Also what anti-cant device is that?

Nice Rifle....I'm sure it will shoot as good as it looks.

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen. I am really loving the rifle. I need to work up a few loads for it. I have no idea what it is going to love. The CC Ammo shot well, but I am sure the rifle can consistently be a .25MOA rifle. The smallest group it printed was .160" and the largest was under an 1". I was surprised that the groups were so far apart. I had to pull some of the ammo to measure the powder charges and it had differences of .3 grains from round to round. I am not stating that CC was careless with the loads, but I am sure something went wrong and they were unaware of it. At distances of 300 and 560 yards, it shot well. I wasn't reading the wind (It was windy when I tested the rifle) or anything, but the groups held a very tight vertical.

The Kahles simply rocks. I can't complain about it. The only thing missing, which isn't a deal breaker, is .2mil marks.

The FlatLine Level does its job.

OW-I wish I had the time to load that many rounds for it. :)

Thanks!!!!

Gents, Papa was kind enough to let me fire this rifle and all I can say is WOW! Mark built a great rifle and it looks even better in person. The work ARP did on the stock looks great.

Papa had a very nice suprise waiting for him today at the local gun shop that he will be putting on this rifle soon. I wont let the cat out of the bag for him, so he will have to chime in later. All I can say is our shooting range just got alot quieter..

Good looking rifle! How long did it take to get the 591 action? I want one..

Thanks Papa and congrats on the new toy you told me about. You'll have to get pictures of that up here too :)

Joe- I just talked to Surgeon the other day to check on my current order and when I tried to order a couple dozen more they said no. No more new orders until further notice. Hopefully next year but who knows. They're focusing more on selling complete rifles for now.

Marc

terrible rifle, dude! Probably going to shoot like shit...Let us know how poorly she shoots. At least a half dozen MOA at 100.

;)

Yet another great looking Spartan build. I am really looking forward to getting one in the near future. Especially since MarcS is kind of local ;)

Today was the first time ever shooting suppressed. I didn't know what to expect. It was INSANELY AWESOME!!!! :D I LOVED IT!!!!!! You can tell how the first shot for each group was out of the group. The "pussy, silenced push" kept catching me off guard. :D

I loaded 9 rounds to test the 30P-1 early today. Don't ask me why only 9; I just did since I was running on very little time. I shot 2, 3 shot groups. And I saved the last 3 rounds to run them with the MagnetoSpeed Chronograph (3,211fps). There was a 8.6mph crosswind. I can't complain with the accuracy.

Spartan Precision Rifles 6mm Creedmoor + TBAC 30P-1 = My Soul Just Jizzed Itself Experience.

And how much clearance is that n that scope at the shank/objective? Ddi you have to trim your Butler Creeks?

Pablo, not only did I do your brass recently, I saw your rifle when it was in Marc's shop.

You chose a terrific chambering, that case works great with the 105s. I did some test-firing of another of Marc's 6CM and it shot equally well.

Papa, man that rifle makes me jealous every picture I see. Awesome rifle and great shooting too.

Google MagnetoSpeed Chrono.

I don't know the exact clearance, but I am using NF Ultralite1.00" Medium, 34mm rings. The Butler Creeks fit somewhat tight, but not tight enough to justify any modification.

Papa, that is one hell of a rifle...looks nasty with that TBAC on there (still waiting for mine lol)...and by nasty I mean super duper awesome and I am jealous!!! LOL

Nice! Bring it up to Best of the West (Liberty Hill, Texas) sometime. I'm there every weekend.

Nice rig Papa, When my 2nd 6 Creed gets done itll look something like yours since Im going to use the T2 stock. What kinda powder you thinking on using? Ill be trying the 105 HPBTs from Hornady, Hybrids, VLDs from Berger and the 105 Noslers. RE17 will be my powder, it has to, Ive got almost 6lbs of it.

Well, I loaded a few rounds for development. I can't complain. I think I found a very nice load for it. I tested 3 loads at 300 yards. I only shot 4 rounds of each load at 300 yards. The best load was the one I took out to 560 yards for a 5 shot group. With this load in particular it took .6mils of elevation at 300 yards and 2.2mils at 560 yards. The wind was at an average of 3.5, crosswind. The groups were shot from prone with a bipod and Wiebad rear bag. Here are the results.

300 Yards. The vertical measured .498". :)

560 Yards, 5 Shots. The group measured 2.564" edge to edge - .243= 2.321" group. :)

I am sticking with Berger 105 Hybrids and H4350. The load I developed for it is sweet thus far. I may tweak it a little and see if I can make it shoot tighter. But all in all I can't complain. I am very, very happy.

Well...it can't hurt to ask.

Sir, what is your recipe? Not trying to screw you out of secret info., just looking for more ideas...

Thanks!

I couldn't help but wonder how the load that did well at 300 and 560 yards was going to group at 100 yards. The picture below is a 5 shot group that includes the cold bore shot. I am very impressed with the 30P-1. And I think the load is a keeper.

Berger 105 Hybrids
H4350, 42.6 Grains

Keep in mind that I did all of my load development with the 30P-1.

Cheers!!!!! :)

Oh, yeah, a guy named OG13 tagged along, too. You should have seen his face after shooting with the Spartan Precision Rifles 6mm Creedmoor and TBAC 30P-1. :) Here is a shot of his Surgeon Sentinel and mine. OG13's Surgeon rifle is sweet as hell. I shot a 3 shot group at 100 yards and I am sure the group measured close to .100000000". :D

We can all feel your excitement in your comments, and hell, I would feel the same way too. Great rifle and great shooting.
That's what it's all about.
I guess you ordered your Surgeon action at the right time.
Keep on having fun.
Good shooting.

No offense Papa, but I hope my 6 Creed shoots better than both you and your buddies rifles, haha

Papa did you have Marc build it so the brake is removable? I want to set up my future build with that exact brake but want to be able to run the same suppressor.

Swage,

I don't believe the Little Bastard brake is meant to be removed since it is timed. Now that I have the suppressor, the only role it serves is as a thread protector.

Papa,

That is a very nice rig you have. Congrats on it, and nice shooting too. Do you remember the barrel contour?

Papagallos, that is an excellent group! Rifle is pretty nice too.

Man I cant wait for my suppressor now holy smokes. That rifle appeared to have virtually no recoil wow
