Hmmm. Every post I've made since 9 Apr 2010 seems to have been wiped out by the reboot.... Anyone else have this problem?

It sucks. I had a few threads that I had started that just seem to be gone now. I went into my posts to find a thread from last week because the google search doesn't work on here anymore and all my posts are just gone.

Yep. Sometime today I lost about about 1400 posts. I had over 2000 and now I'm at 750 something. I was on last night and still had the full amount and it was showing me as a senior member. Now it shows me as a full member. I wonder what I did to get demoted?? LOL

I only lost about 30 posts so I will not complain. I just wish I could go back and find some of my old threads. Oh well.

You and me both. It seems strange that a bunch of people lost posts. I wonder what went down in the change over that caused all the new glitches that keep popping up. Anyone know how I can find or get my posts? I used it all the time and now it's a bit frustrating following old threads. Change is a mf'er sometimes.

Posting to see ..??

Just old posts I have made in the past. Instead of using the search function, I would just go back in my profile and find it that way. Maybe I have missed something in the new layout. I'm sure it will all work out. Just hard getting used to it.

add me to the list. it dropped me to only 29, and that will be a big problem the next time I need to sell/trade.

Post Count BS

I went from 63 posts to 23. I have been a member since Nov 2003. I have not made posts to just get the number up to 100. Prior to the 100 post requirement for posting items for sale, I had listed items for sale. There needs to be some common sense applied!

Maybe a mod can help. I lost some to the point where I am below the 100 mark too. Got it with change and forward progress and all but it hinders some long time users who don't give the +1, nice stick, gtg posts. I don't sell often but but liked the fact that after 2 years of watching/learning I had the priveledge to.

I lost about 3,000 as well. I keep wondering what the upgrade was about and why it was needed. I miss the threaded version of the PM system and am still getting used to the upsidedown posting order.

I lost about 900.

Shit's so crazy I just had a single digit give away, and someone won..... :)

I can not even click on the Bear Pit and get it. I can only view the latest thread being posted in.....

I cant find any of my posts from 2010 to the present. I'm posting here to see if it's working and if I can find the others. Maybe has something to do with a numerical order of years, not sure.

One-Eyed Jack, there is no upside down posting order, you have to simply change your settings in your profile which has been written about at least 6 times if it was written once. Set display to Linear Older Post First.

How many more fucking cry baby posts you guys gonna post about losing posts, get over it happened and they probably aren't coming back.

The reason for the upgrade is clear, the software is better, the software is more secure, the software supports the server better, thus the site actually runs better. We are adding new features everyday.

As far as the PMs, you're all a bunch of spoiled brats, the default number is 50 and most don't give more than 100, you just got fat on my giving you so many more, now that it changed you're all stomping your feet and whining. If you'd paid attention you'll see I tried 3x to change it, the plug in didn't work so I am in the process of hiring a company just to write a new one that does.

I'm just angry because I've been a member for quite sometime, but haven't posted much. I've bought tons of stuff on here, and have always wanted to randomly sell my toys to fund other toys, but can't do it on here! I was only like 20 posts away from having the convenience of selling, now I'm back to square one. It'll take another 3 years for me to contribute enough to accumulate...sigh.

Ok, this post shows in my posts. It goes from 05-26-2010 to just now with nothing in between. Does that mean we lost the threads that these posts were contained in also?

The search index locked up half way through, so the site is not pulling up the posts because the process is incomplete. We have to shut down again because indexing 2m + posts while people are on is too much.

Not to mention I pruned about 100,00 threads,

Honestly does it matter what your old posts look like, it's pretty much meaningless. However posts are there, just the indexing started older first so it hasn't gotten to new ones yet.

The "Linear Older Post First" option didn't exist when I set up my account. It was "Linear" with no other options, but the change is a welcome one, thanks.

That makes sense, so the threads will show up eventually (most of them). I'm not concerned about the post count thing, I just often go back through old threads as a reference when I'm thinking of something that I read on the site. It's easier to find looking at my old posts rather than using the search, provided it's a thread I posted in in the first place. Not complaining here, take your time, I have lots of learning to do with the new site to figure it out. Hell, I just found out I can change colors and the look of the pages.

I have been posting updates, in the forum, and the blog area about the changes and features that have been added. More are coming.

It took 11 years to get the old forum to where it was, it's only been just over 48 hours.
