Just went to run some ammo thru a new lone wolf barrel in .40 out of a G24 and had significant feed issues. Have had zero issues previously with the stock bbl fwiw. The failure to feeds appeared to be with the case head/rim and the extractor. Am I needing to look at honing that extractor angle a bit or should I trouble shoot other options?

Factory ammo?

Remove barrel. Do cartridges drop FREELY into the chamber, making a "clink" sound, then drop right out?

LW chambers are TIGHT.

DON'T TOUCH IT WITH ANYTHING!

Like Turbo54 said, LWD chambers are TIGHT. I had the same issue with mine in 40c

I thought it was my reloads, I chased all sorts of ammo checks and finally had the same problem with 2 different brands of factory. I called LWD, Dan Shepherd had me send it in with a dozen or so rounds of the factory and my reloads. I got it back 2 weeks later with a polished out chamber and an email of the test targets. I have not had a single issue since, this was mid 2009.

If you touch it yourself they're not going to support it for CS if you screw anything up.

Ok I take my statement back. I have a Kahr .40 that had a horrible time with cheaper paper punching ammo ie. UMC, and WWB. I Polished the Karh chamber and have had almost zero problems since. I hadn't noticed accuracy as its a CCW gun. Maybe I should NOT have done this? It worked well for me. I know not of Lone Wolf Barrel stuff. I sure like my results on my Kahr however.

DM- I'm sure if Kahr knew you'd done anything to it they would charge you full sticker for any repairs and use the excuse that you fiddled with it to stick it to you. They tried it on a friend of mine when his PM9 had an out of battery with factory Winchester 9 ammo blew the gun up in his hand.

I have no doubt that your fix works and that it would work on the LWD as well, when I inspected the change with a bore scope it was clear that all they had done was to hone out the chamber and make it run right. HOWEVER, if I had messed with it at all and sent it back in, they wouldn't have done anything for me under warranty. Their CS is good in my experience, I would strongly advise the OP to use it instead of trying to take on the job himself and risking a mess that will cost him a lot more out of his pocket than a $7 shipping bill to send it back in.

I agree with you Boehm. Certainly. I just can't help myself when it comes to those sorts oft hings. I void warranties like is my job lol. I hope he gets his Lone Wolf all straightened out. Cheers.

Reloads are snug, don't drop quite as freely as with the factory bbl; kinda the point though really-going for accuracy as well as use of lead. LWD is just north of me 45 minutes; either way ill give them a call. As a side note the brass is getting de-bulged prior to reloading too. That redding die set up made a huge difference on my 10mm brass too. Thanks for the advice guys! All within an hour of posting, this site rocks
