My previous thread on this topic has disappeared.

I received email correspondence and a couple of missed calls after emailing them yesterday. Once again, I was "put in my place" for asking about the status of the $7000+ M40/A5 order I placed on June 12, 2012.

So disgusted that I didn't do the research I should have.

From your post count, it looks like this is your first post. Did all of your posts get wiped out too, or did you post under a different user name?

Sorry to hear that the arrogance continues.
Weird the the post disappeared and you post count was reset.

This was a hot topic yesterday

Yeah, but along with the "Loooooooong wait time" post. the one above registered as the first since the last one was deleted. Due to many, many legal matters with Tactical rifles it may have been deleted. Unfortunately there have been quite a few issues with the company.
I think you're in for a battle, but all of us here wish you the best

I ordered one from them a couple years back, the quoted time was 6 to 8 months, ended up being almost exactly 12 with all the excuses to explain why, They are very nice when taking your order and going over options but after the dog and pony show is over they pretty much told me not to check on the order because it would hold up the build process. Long story short my rifle shoots well but I would do it all different if I could go back in time. Just my experience

Wish you the best of luck in your dealings with them. Don't get pushed around you are still the customer

TacticalRifles.net will get what they deserve one day. I have a few departments that talked about them and I showed them several instances of UN-satisfied customers. Thankfully they chose another reputable smith. Good luck OP, continue to post updates.

about the post count issue, mine got knocked back by about 80-100 when the site switched over...not a huge deal, but a deal, nonetheless.

Not speaking for anyone else, but it's my guess that if we don't want to have threads and posts regarding TR deleted we should stick to objective facts. Things such as date ordered, amount paid, a check for $xx dollars was cashed on xx/xx/xxxx date... etc. are not subject to opinions (unless some real lawyering comes into play, and I've been down that road many times and on a grander scale that almost anyone on this planet can imagine). More subjective matters such as characterizations of David's soul, or how we might feel about TR, etc. are things that open doors that may cost a few $ to walk through. As much as I want to give a personal account of the sequence of events with TR, I am saving for somewhere other than the Hide. Just my 0.02.

Thanks for the advice.

All good points. I have email and cc receipts to indicate receipt of deposit when order placed on June 12, 2012 (corrected from date in initial post). I have emails from David to indicate initial quote of delivery of up "to 9 months" when the deposit was processed. I also have emails and text messages (received in early Feb 2013) indicating a much longer delivery time. I also have emails and cc receipts indicating that the entire package was paid in full on 2/5/2013. After multiple emails and text messages exchanged last week - I still can't get a delivery date, only that "you'll be contacted when it's ready." Those are all facts. I could provide volumes on my personal customer service experience, but I've already made that very clear with David.

Any updates?

I am in the same boat as you klmartin, I ordered in march 2012. I did not do as much research as I should have but another respected website gave a really good review on two of their rifles. My final two choices were between them and another really high end builder. Delivery time was a big issue for me and being quoted 9 to 12 months sold the deal on them. At this point I can only wait and pray that when I receive my rifle its everything I hope it would be. Not sure what other options I have. I just learned of this 2 months ago.
