This is my second BlackOps Precision rifle and I am very impressed with the fit finish as they always do an outstanding job. The Multi-cam stock job was done by Todd Jackson whom Mike likes to utilize for the painting of the stocks that customers want completed. I would say that is high praise seeing that it comes from Mike Bush!

I had a chance to take out the rifle yesterday for my first shots with the new rifle. I have enclosed my target after I got it sighted in. It was 15 rounds of 140 Hornady AMAX...I dropped two just below the main group but the other 13 were right there in the same expanding hole - that is about as good as it gets for me - the group was right at 1/2 MOA. For commercial off the shelf ammo I don't think it can get much better. I used the 120 AMAX to sight the rifle in and then moved to the 140's. The 140's seemed to shoot tighter but I will have to do more work to really tell if that hypothesis is correct. Mike did tell me that with the 1:8 barrel the rifle would like the heavies better.

I chronographed 120gr and 140gr AMAX to see where it sat as far as early rounds through the barrel and with the 22.5" barrel I really wanted to know the speed.

    140 AMAX - 5 RDS

Overall I am very happy with the rifle and this is my first move into a new caliber in years. The stock is very comfortable to sit behind for long hours and the Timney trigger is super crisp with the 2.5lb pull so as far as this rifle is concerned - it is a winner! BlackOps Precision can always be counted on to put a smile on my face when I first shoot the rifles as in the last two rifles now, they shoot much better than I do. I can't wait to get this out to shoot some steel at distance.

Awesome rifle and great shooting. You definitely have a winner! Congratulations!!
Thanks Papa. As we keep shooting these Creedmoors keep exchanging data and we will be that much further ahead. I have some reloading 6.5mm components coming this week so I will start down that trail soon or as fast as I can find some H4350 powder

That is a nice rifle. The finish is very nice. I've wondered why Manners doesn't do a molded multi-cam finish ... I think it would be very popular. I'm having APA rebarrel my Surgeon in 6.5 CM. I'm glad I keep hearing good things about factory Creedmoor ammo, I have 10 boxes heading my way in a couple weeks. My barrel is the same twist, 1/8, but mine will be 4 inches longer. Still, I think I may follow your lead in load development, especially if you plan on using 140 AMAXs and H4350.

You have a winner there.Make sure you show more holes with reloads.
    Congrats sweet rifle

that will be the fun part. I will try to replicate the Hornady loads as closely as possible. But, on the other hand, it has been real hard to find 140 AMAX so I had to settle for Nosler 140 BTHP's for my first try. I would like to give the 130 Berger's a try too but they are quite pricey. I am sure by the time it is all said and done I will have tried all kinds of bullets.

    Looks good!!!!

AND you have the bolt on the CORRECT side of the action!!

Great looking rifle and great shooting as well.
I have plenty of reloading items for the 6.5 CM, but given it is bad news to ship said items, you should just ship me the rifle.

    Hey Starz,
Shootin that left hand rifle with a right hand twist has the boolit all confused. It's coming out of the barrel straight like tater gun...

    Ask Preston, Hah!

Welcome to the world of the Creedmore. You're officially ruined.

you can send me all your brass!

beautiful rifle man, and nice shooting you have a hell of a rifle on your hands there!! enjoyed reading the write up thanks for posting it!! good reading

Awesome rifle and I like the multi-cam paint job a lot. I am just getting into the 6.5 creedmoor cartridge too. 2707 fps out of a 22.5" barrel is really fast. I believe hornady specs their match load at 2710 from a 24" barrel, so you're getting good velocities.

Brownells has 140 a-max bullets in stock. Let me know if/when you find some H4350 powder because I'm also on the hunt for it so I can start reloading.

I have been giving that lots of thought. Given the fact it is powder that you need, the brass will do you no good. So,,,,,,,,,,,, it only seems fair that you would send me the rifle. I'll pay shipping.

I too have also given this lots of deep thought and I have come to the conclusion that I will take pictures of it every week and let you see it. We can also Skype while I am on the range so you can see me shooting it.
