Normally a purist as far as guns but this is interesting I wonder about the feeding from the mag may be an issue I won't be the guinea pig for this I will wait and see if does what they claim if it's good I am in for one this has appleseed possibilities.

Usually they make pretty good stocks, but with the rimmed cartridge of the Mosin and a magazine like that to feed it, I would also like to see how this system works. I have two Mosins, and one of them would be the candidate for that stock.

SVT-40s are mag fed and shoot 7.62x54R. You'll most likely need to stagger the rounds forward like you do for those and you won't have any problems.

Got MY attention! Me likee!

5 rounder OK for me here in NY.

What they don't seem to tell you is that you cannot fit it with a bent bolt due to the location of the magazine hardware.
So, no optic, unless you want to mount an LER on the rear sight base.

I called them shortly after shot show and was told that distributors would start seeing them late March to early April. I personally can't wait to get mine ordered.

Ive been looking for a third mosin to pick up as a candidate for one of these stocks. Cant wait till they come out!

After some thought, probably not for me. I love everything about it, but a $200 stock for a $100 rifle seems excessive to me.

I'll try making my own stock, that shouldn't cost anywhere near as much.

Since I live in NY, a legal 5-round D/M is no more convenient than a 5-tound stripper clip.

Otherwise, I think it's really cool.

what diameter barrel can fit in this? can i open the channel up to make it fit? i have a monster mosin with the uk59 barrel installed. my bolt handle was moved back behind the stripper bridge.

Should have been more specific....you can't use a low-profile bolt that would require inletting the stock- that's where the hardware is mounted.
You can use the old-style "sniper" bent bolt with PE/PU or scout scopes.

sounds like a rock solid ind, bolt will fit.

Video response from all of the comments received by email and by direct response on this YouTube channel. Thank you to everyone who has expressed excitement over this product. I've tried to answer all of the questions, but if I missed one, please feel free to comment. We will begin taking pre-orders on March 15th. Only the black stock kit (with the 5 round magazine) can be pre-ordered. (part# AA9130 $199.95) 10 round magazines can be pre-ordered as well (part# AA762R-02 $24.95)

I have a burning question... what was done to allow the PU scope and mount to fit? Will these stocks be inlet for this, or will the consumer need to modify this feature on their own? I really love the design, one of the only aftermarket stocks that compliment the Mosin Nagant action... I even like the stock better with just the 5-round magazine, as it makes for very clean lines.

For those than want to use a bent bolt, Boyds make a nice stock.
