Seriously, why does this muzzle brake cost so much, what am I missing? I see the seller has sold 29 of them at over $1K each. I emailed and asked but got an evasive answer, then they emailed again saying they were no longer available but they didn't pull the auction.

The greater fool theory? Why not just get a real Bulgarian Krink muzzle break and modify it at that price. Anyway, they are really loud and piss off your neighbors at the range.

The same reason some "legit" companies ask $350 for a break.... because people are stupid enough to think they can tell a difference.

Copy the e-mail regarding "no longer available" then go to the listing. Just above the description- on the right of the page, there is a "Report Item"...click it and follow the process.

Bet the seller used shill accounts to "purchase" the breaks so it looked like people were buying them. No way anybody is stupid enough to drop a grand on a brake.

I emailed and asked but got an evasive answe

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muzzle_booster

"A muzzle booster or recoil booster is a device affixed to the muzzle of a firearm, intended to harness the energy of the escaping propellant to augment the force of recoil on portions of the firearm. Muzzle boosters are usually used to improve the reliability of a recoil operated firearm. The muzzle booster is the antithesis of the muzzle brake, which is designed to use the propellant gases to reduce the recoil of the firearm."
