MARCH 23, SATURDAY

ARRIVE BY 0830

$30 guests, $20 NHRPC members.

For March we will be doing the regular carbine shooter's match on the short gun side.

On the precision side the match will be a two shooter team format. There is no restriction on the type of rifle used by either team member. Both can be bolt guns, or semi's. Max caliber 300WM.

Expect stages that press a wide range of both individual and team skills such as communication, coordination, and teamwork. The match will contain some moderate physical activity (some running, carrying your gear and other objects, etc).

Round count should be about 60 per shooter max on precision, about 80-100 for carbine with some pistol (carbine only) too.

Online registration is required.

Precision - Bring a change of clothes for the ride home. :)

I will post the CoF as always. Should be done in a couple days.

Freddy,

I would like to sign up but do not have a partner. If somebody needs a partner I'm available (for match only) please let me know.

Greg

Cool guys!

I had a good question about registration.

I want EACH shooter to register and note your team name or who you are shooting with. I need to know who goes with who, and still have an accurate roster of who is shooting.

You can write a personal check directly to the club. "NHRPC."

The Course of Fire is ready guys.

I tried to keep a good mix of stuff in there and not favor bolt guns or semi's too much.

For the S.M.E. - know your milling formula. Know how it works and why. That's all the info you are getting about it. ;-)

We will be giving a brisk workout to our new steel targets. No more wondering if the club targets are all working. We have our own stuff for dedicated match use now.

Scaled milling? What the F* is that? What kind of a silly idea is that, who would do such a stupid thing?

;)

Hehehe... Freddy getting me back for my Mayberry stage last year. Hopefully Homer Simpson not involved in any way.

sounds great Freddy-
My spidey senses are also buzzing on the 1st stage with your "good weather"/"bad weather" note. Something tells me I want "bad weather"...

anyway, I am really looking forward to this one. Need to get out from behind desk and back into field...

Yeah Freddie-
Appreciated the quick pace today, made the drive back to Virginia easier.
Range Run as pairs was great stage - nice concept.
see you in April.

I made some changes for this year that are starting to show. The new mover boards - corplast w/ push pins. No more staples and time lost farting around with a fucked up mover.

Color coded - Run FOUR shooters at a time on mover and pop-up stages.

And new steel. Targets were a lot smaller huh? ;-)

Separate walk & shoot paper target stage that doesn't require pit service.

Actually the less we mess with B27's and pasters the faster it seems to go.

The new range construction really helped out with the tableaus. There is a shelf up there on the berm for steel. It was right in the middle of the impact area, and very easy to see from all positions.

And new berms at 500, 400, and soon 100Y really extend out the possibilities.

Freddy,
Thanks for a great match, Mike E and I had a blast. You ran a very efficient and fun match. fun and challenging stages, or should I say tableaus's. Getting done early was a plus for my 8 hour ride home to OH.......
Thanks again!
Sean

No problem guys you are welcome anytime.

I didn't know you came that far but next time remind me and I will run you guys first on the final tableau (JB/Trebark, same goes with you guys) so you can GTFO early.

Gents, I had a great time shooting with you all on Saturday even with the mudbath :)

Nice shooting, it was really tight at the top, 5 points can make or break your day there... Looking forward to the next one. Thanks again, Freddy. You shot really well with that little DMR against all the dedicated bolt guns.

Freddy-

Could you provide the length of the New Holland pits?

In Google Earth, I found it to be 80ft, and then using that distance with times from my stop watch, I found a mover target speed of 4fps and then a lead for the mover (bullet tof * speed = lead in ft; lead in ft * 12" = lead in inches; lead in inches/3.6*6 = lead in mils). But then Trebark and I sent 19 rounds down at the 600yd mover using that lead, all of them solid trigger pulls on that lead and were disappointed with ZERO hits (0 for 19 - YUCK). I have reworked the math backward and forward and the only thing I can come up with is that the distance I used for the pits was too long at 80ft... I remember the mil lead you said was necessary, but I can't make my math work to get that number.

Any intel on the New Holland pit dimension much appreciated.
