Couldn't take not being out and about so when I finished work I decided to go out for some early ground hogs it was a blazing 36 degrees with winds gusting to 10 mph. But thru the not so great weather I managed to get my first hog of the year with my new 300 Black Out bolt gun. I made a quick drop chart before I went out. I am pretty rusty from not shooting over the winter months but I still managed on the thrid shot and backing a couple mils off to hit the hog at 425 yards. I feel so much better already can't wait for warmer weather!

168gr SMK with 14.5grs of H110 pushing it at 1680fps
Took a whole 6.8 mils to make it to 425

Ugh! Just when i think I'm getting over the 300 blackout fever i see this. Now it's stuck in my head that i must have one for some reason. Nice shot by the way

That's one wicked looking club you got there. Kinda looks like one of the kids that rode the short bus, but was given a black football helmet instead of the normal little protecto helmets like the rest of the window lickers.

I mean all this in the best possible way :), of course. Do feel that recoil impulse in your teeth when you shoot it? Honestly, I've never shot a brake mounted that close.

    Cheers,
    Breeze

Lol I guess thanks hahaha to be honest you dont feel a thing even tho its that close no jump or anything watched the shot the whole way thru its a little loud where I'm at but 100 yards in front of me its hardly as loud as a standard velocity 22

After pulling a long shot with it I'm that much happier that I built it now I can use either the blk out or my 223ai at the farm I hunt. Just build one and be done with it that's pretty much what I did

That's a cute looking rifle...nice work on the hog.

I guess you think english bulldogs are cute too!

Hey Hill Billy, you ain't part of that "Amish Mafia" up near intercourse, is ya? That's why its so short, so you can ride your push scooter rural assault vehicle with it up yer pant's leg. If'n you didn't have to kill nobody, you could be hanging out with the ladies and tell them you're nickname is tripod! No baby, that ain't no scope in my pocket; I'm just happy to see you!

sorry, coudln't help myself....been up too long and way too much coffee! :)

    Cheers,

LMFAO no im not part of the Amish Mafia, tho id rock the push scooter!!!

Hill Billy, you got cabin fever and I've got channel fever; I dont think this rig is ever going to get to Trinidad!

Last night it came to me....you could be the "overwatch," perched on top of the Rural slow speed response vehicle (i.e. buggy). They'd be towing three or four of the push scooters at or near max rated speed. these would break off and deploy perimeter positions.......

It'll be the next new reality series: Amish S.W.A.T. , with SBSP(short barreled smoke poles), balaclavas & Strawhats. Their flash bangs/tear gas would be rotten duck eggs covered in "itch powder" or something.

I really didn't mean to jack your thread.....but dammit,, don't feed a stray and he won't stay!

how would the stickers on the buggy doors read? A.S.W.A.T. That could turn into it own Abbott & Costello routine of "who's on first"; not to be confused with the A.S.S.H.A.T.S. which is whole 'nutha conversation!

Tactical raid restraints, not cable ties......old hay bailing twine!

Have you shot any of the sub stuff outta it yet? How does it do?

I have two 300blk, in ar form, suppressed, one sbr (that bad ass integral unit from Houston Armory) and a noveski. I still haven't shot full power ammo.....I'm still stuck on subsonics :) In fact, I don't think I've shot over 50 yards yet. I was so tickled at how smoothly it cylced, especially after fighting a 7.62x39 upper and the feeding issues associated with ak mags.

After handling the rem700 integral suppressed rifles, you just have to love the balance of an integral suppressed over a muzzle mounted can.
