Maybe some who shoots the above rifle can help me out. The rifle has the new HS Precision stock with the aluminum bedding block. Savage says 35 in lbs for both front and rear (I did make sure they understood it was the HS stock). HS Precision say 65 in lbs for both..I have also heard different torque specs for the front and rear screw. Anyone who has one and gets good results with the factory stock have any suggestions. I eventually will be putting another chassis system into it but for the time being ....I shot it for the first time today with Hornady Match 120 and 140 gr and was not that impressed. Maybe that is one of the issues.

I torque all my savages, hs, AI,PDC,b&c, and Mcree stocked, 65 in/lb front screw and 30-35in/lbs on the rear. Much more then that on the rear screw causes a teeter totter effect on the rear half pillar. My 3 screw target actions get 65,65,30; front-back. They are in laminated f class stocks that i pillared and bedded.
