Scope is NIB, mounted, zeroed @ 100 yards. After achieving zero, I noticed that my turret knob is considerably higher than the zero index on the scope.

Specs:

ER-25 with MIL-MPR Reticle. Scope is loaded with everything, TPAL, EREK Knob, etc.

Rifle is Barrett M98 338 Lapua Mag

I had scope questions for this set up in an earlier thread but decided to start a new one to avoid confusion, as this is an entirely different scope, brand new from USO.

See image below.

I guess my concern here is I must be losing a bit of elevation out of the EREK knob with it set up this way. What changes ( if any ) can I try to have my true zero match the zero index on the scope? Right now I must be 70 clicks above the zero line on the scope, this is my true zero at 100 yards.

Thanks in advance!

You are not zeroing the EREK system properly.

If you would like, PM me your number and I can call and explain how to do it properly. Its not hard, just easier to explain over the phone rather than type.

Your center screw needs to come UP [ccw], so that your knob will go DOWN [cw] further. If you have a bore sighter, its real easy to fix without losing your zero.

70 clicks is less than one rotation of the turret.
My new ER25 just came in yesterday and looks a little high as well. I'm not too concerned as USO hasn't been putting horizontal index lines on for long and I need to determine the relevance of the markings once I zero Friday.
USO has historically sent scopes boresighted assuming a 20moa base so you should have plenty of up left if its in the ballpark.

I always turn mine all the way down until they stop, click up a mil, set turret to zero, then boresight and fine tune the zero with the center socket head only, holding the turret in place. Has always worked for me.
