My girlfriend got me the RCBS Rockchucker reloading setup for Christmas. I picked up a set of RCBS competition .308 dies and ended up starting to strip the brass locking screw. Shot off an email to RCBS and the sent out a bag full of brass screws as well as a spare nut. Couldn't be more happy with the product or the service.

The same thing happened to me recently with the brass locking screw stripping. A call into RCBS customer service and three days later, I received 6 replacement screws in the mail. Over the years, I've called them a few times on some minor product issues and their customer service has been top notch.

They are awesome. One thing that helps to actually lock he locking screw is to mash a piece of #6 or smaller bird shot into the threads. Bird shot first then the screw...the lead from the shot gets mashed into the thread by the screw and actually locks the nut

I broke the RCBS kinetic bullet puller and sent the end flying and stuck in my drywall next to my window. 1 phone call later I had another RCBS puller on the way and was at my house in 5 days free of charge. They didnt even want the old busted one back.

Damn!
I spit my coffee all over my desk!
You must have been just a wailing away on that stubborn bullet :)

RCBS customer service has been legendary for the 30 years I have done business with them....Quite the track record really!

I've broken and lost a few things over the years and am always willing to pay for a new one but they've always come through for me. I even lost my AC adapter for my cm1500 and called to find out where to but a new one and they just sent me one for free.

First time in 20 years of reloading and I must have had a case which didn't get enough lube. I called RCBS for the entire guts of the die - pin, expander beall etc, which I ruined extracting. Said its on its way.

I'm mechanically inclined and I understand the difference between something crapping out and ME fucking it up.

On a couple ocassions, RCBS has sent me free replacements, even after I explained that I was responsible for the problem and I was fully expecting to pay for parts and freight. RCBS has never allowed me to pay for stuff.

Several months ago another 'hider started a thread bitching about RCBS service. He had puchased a CM1500 combo and decided he didn't like the way it worked over a year after the purchase (this item has a 1 year warranty). He called RCBS wanting a replacement. They told him to send the old one in with a check for $50 and they'd send a new one.

Personally, I thought this was *quite* nice of RCBS. They'd have been totally in the right even if they told him he's SOL and should buy a new one.

Dealt with them when I purchased my turret press. No POP, no customer abuse accusation, just asked me for an address to send the parts to. Didn't even want the old stuff back. No charge for shipping. Never dealt with a company so trusting of their customer base. Good people.

Like I was framing a house. lol

The guy laughed when I told him I can snap a pic of it jammed in the wall.

Same story here. The stick-on metal-plate scale that shows "Grains" (1 through 10) on my 30 year-old 5-10 powder scale came off and got lost. One call and a free replacement was on its way - not even a moment's hesitation.

Just ordered a 50 pack of headed decapping pins today through RCBS after coming up empty at about 2 dozen online sources. Customer service answered my emails regarding shipping date (this coming Monday) in about 5 minutes. Great to deal with!

I offered my credit card number for some parts (I broke being stoopid) to them once: the guy says "If you give me your credit card number, I'll have to charge you..."
