My wife and I went to Bed Bath&Beyond a few years ago for her to pick out a new fancy kitchen knife for her birthday. She picked out the one she wanted in the display, but flagged down an employee because she wanted to test the handle before committing. We were informed that she could not do it there, the employee had to take the knife up to the front for us where we could buy it, my wife could try it, then return it if she didn't like it. I asked what the big deal was, and we were informed that if they let us test out the knife we might use it to go on a rampage and stab people in the store.

As the employee left to take the knife up front, I turned to my wife and asked her if they may feel more comfortable about our motives if I told them about the 38 revolver in my IWB holster.

We walked out and never went back.

The wife and I bought a really nice pressure canner about 4 months ago. We planned to put up a good stock of deer meat, chicken when it is on sale. Am I now on a list as a terrorist as well as a prepper/hoarder? Oh gosh I own guns...another list.
