just like to say....Im a US marine 8541......Ive shot the best there is.......Ive got 3 DTA rifles......theres not another rifle I'd more willingly trust my life too......accurate(and I mean with the right loaded ammo .250 MOA).....tough.......short....concealable.....with the right can quiet......u cant defend what u dont know is coming.....I might add....the Covert is the baddest MOFO built....but get an SRS and the extra handguard and have the best of both worlds.....Semper Fi

May I ask why you own 3? That's the beauty of this system is you can have 1 scope, 1 chassis, and 100 different calibers and lengths. I could see an HTI and a SRS with a Covert handguard to swap... But 3?

I have 3 DTAs because.....well.....Im a gun junky.....I have a few...TRG42.....Barrett 107.....Savage 110BR......a 2 DTA SRS A1s, and an HTI with .308, .338L, .375CT, .408CT, and .50 conversions......several Stiller actioned rifles.....always run into someone hurtn for money letting stuff go for pennies on the dollar.....did I mention Im not married either????

Im out of the Corps.....got out in 2005....and yes....I have a .308 in the SRS Covert.....and it is a hell of a rifle....and short

To be fair though, he COULD have gotten a .408 barrel and had a 'smith put it on right? They'd use the same bolt as the 375CT I would assume as well. Similar to how DTA doesn't offer a factory 6.5CM conversion but you can get one from SAC.

A1s were ordered at the shot show.....and the wait is very long...almost a year now I think......cal for the HTI are .375, .408, and .50....cals on the A1s are .308 and .338L......one SRS has the short handguard and short covert barrel.........and I dont knows whose crap is the .260??? Oh...and correction.....I only have 1 A1...the other is just an SRS and it is the Covert....thats ok...all you haters out there....dont bother me any.....
No one has an A1 except a few dealers as models. They aren't for sale yet. The A1 was not announced at Shot either bro.

Absent one falling off the back of a truck or you having a means of obtaining one without having it shipped, what I have been told is NONE of these have shipped as of yet.
Since this thread is going nowhere, why do you think none have shipped yet? It seems they've had ample time to incorporate what really mounts to 3 small changes to their molds/programs/mfring equipment since the announcement.
I try to "know" when possible and not just "think". Like I said, it is a SMALL world and while I might not know, I do KNOW people who do KNOW and I talked with them. So unless the people who are in the KNOW are blowing smoke....then NONE are on the street in the average Joe's hands.....

It was shown at SHOT, there's several videos of it on youtube but I can't confirm if they were taking orders at that time.

My guess that the reason the A1s have not shipped yet is because they are still filling gen2 orders. I received my gen2 in late march and the gun was completed in early December. I still believe it will be a couple months before we start seeing A1s on the street.
It possibly could be they are building there Euro market up as well. I know that the country of Georgia list the DTA as one of their sniper rifles. Supplying orders for two different islands may be spreading them a little thin, not to mention Law and Gov't contracts. I would think the latter would be filled first.
