Anyone know where such a unicorn can be found? Thankfully I should have two 5 round magazines but having one 10 round one would be nice.

Alpha Industries has some of their 10-rounders in stock; they are the ones set up for longer loads if that's an issue for you. Looks like Eurooptic still has some 5-round AI mags in stock, too.

bh-ltr look for Oham1's post hes selling a acis 2.0 he has 2 10 round mags selling separately, not sure what he wants for them

Ok I sent a PM to Oham1 but couldn't ever find his post. I searched for it and about all I found in reference to his mags was this thread. McRees appears to be out of stock on the 10 round AICS compatible mags:
McRees Precision 10 round 308WIN Box Magazine
The accurate mags look interesting but it seems really difficult to be sure you're getting the right thing. There is a picture that pretty clearly looks like a short action magazine that would hold 10 rounds but the description on all of them seem to only tell you about long action stuff. Aren't there some short action mags that are 223 specific? I gotta make sure I don't just order based on picture or I'll end up with one of those.

Love Triad but I am hoping to get a mag in the next couple weeks so I'll leave him be and let him have his recovery time. The alpha industries look ok and would probably work even without the modification but for now I'm not going to have it modded and probably want to stay standard.

Maybe I'll call Brownells.

Got the Accurate mag in the mail today. Piece of junk. Granted it works but it rattles and doesn't fit for crap. The AI Mags are good and tight. Guess I'll just have to get by with the 2 five rounders until there are more 10s in stock.

Well send that piece of junk to me. Ill trade you a box of 168gr smk for it. There not junk:)

Cause if it rattles that means that a good hit has a much better chance of knocking it out. The thing sounds like a cheap broken toy where as the AI mags feel like they were made to be in that combination (because they were). I'd trade it (and some money) for a 10 round AICS magazine but beyond that I'll just return it. Appreciate the offer for the 168SMKs but I've got all the bullets I need for a while and I shoot 175SMKs.

Got the official AI magazine today and it turns out its quite loose fitting as well compared to the 5rd magazines. Granted the Accurate Mag is still yet a bit looser and the springs twanging around inside of it make it sound a feel a lot cheaper by comparison. My wife gave me each magazine blind while I wore a blindfold and I could tell which one I had every time out of 5 tries after just cycling the rounds through the gun. So its not as bad as it seems as both AI and AM 10 round mags feel cheaply mated compared to the 5rd counterparts but the Accurate Mags aren't as good as the AI mags.

+1 for 1shotgear.com, got mine during the panic buy a few months back. Shipped fast and great service.

Why would she need to be blind while handing them to you? Or was there some kind of small assortment of grass and reeds to hide the magazine? Sorry, just flipping you s*%t. In reality the loose fit is probably a good thing. As long as they sit high enough to feed every time and don't drop out on their own, you're looking at a schmutz tolerant setup.

The 5rd mags are a good schmutz tolerant loose fit. The 10 rounders actually slop back and forth more than need be..

My 10 rounders are C-products and slop less than the AI 5 rounder I have.

I use the Alpha's, and they work fine now, but we needed to modify them to get them to feed every time. The AI's just run better, but don't allow the bullet to be seated out as far as the Alpha's.

My AI 10 rounder in my AICS 2.0 stock rattles if it's empty. Put 10 rounds in it and there is no rattle. Have you loaded the magazine and inserted it?

Yea its ok... The main thing was just how the mag will tip back and forth in the mag well. The 5 rd does it too but its hard to tell because the foot covers the opening and kinda bumps on the sides so it holds it in place. The fact that the 10rd is longer and doesn't have its foot plugging the hole up just makes it seem worse.

Improved cartridges and Accurate mags

I had some problems with the Accurate magazines using 260 improved cartridges. The advanced shoulder seemed to cause the issue. They would not feed and woudl rattle quite a bit in the mag.

Normal 260 Rem. cartridges posed no problem for them.

Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered a new AI mag from midway. I have a Accurate mag that came with the gun and its ok but not great. Hope this one is better.
