8 months in the making but she is finally finished. Can't wait to get her to the range for some fire forming and load development.

Nice! How much faster is the improved over the regular?

I'm not sure yet but from what I have read it will be pushing anywhere between 2900 and 3100 with the 300gr tht is a rough guess so don't hold me to it. I will chrono when I go out and shoot it.

My guess with the 31" barrel is more in the 2950 range.
Nice rifle (but its upside down)! I'm building a standard 338lm on the TAC338 action as well. I was very impressed with the action but that bolt knob looks/feels like it came off a piece of furniture, so i made my own:

Bodyworks yea I have another knob going on it. I bought a surgeon tactical knob that will replace the standard stiller knob. Yea I'm gonna have to get to my laptop to straighten the pic for some reason it loaded upside down from my phone

Awesome cartridge! I shoot one with a 32" barrel and got 300 grain bullets to 3150 fps with 104 grains of Retumbo and still didn't see a lot of pressure, although quickload says it should be getting up there.

Wow. I didn't think it increased velocity that much. If i didn't already have the dies I'd consider the chamber. I'm up at anywhere from 5-10k density altitude though, so I think 2800-2850 out of the factory chamber will suit me fine.
How does the AI feed from a mag?

Scotty, improved will be the way I go when my barrel is shot out, real nice looking set up ,scope looks great on it. How do you like the seekins bottom metal?
