Before the board update a few months I had in excess of 1,000 posts.

After the updates, around 600.

Logged on tonight and my post count is 1.

One.

What's up with that?

It has already been brought up on here. Happened to me too. Still was able to post stuff for sale though, it wiped my post counter but my posts in my profile are all still there. Not sure if this applies to everyone, if everyone got screwed equally or not.

Yeah, haven't logged in in a couple weeks and came back to a 0 post count. Oh well it is what it is...life doesnt revolve around post count, or does it?lol.
But what is the deal? New site upgrades, or what?

In the same boat.

A member here since 2002, with hundreds of posts and many sales/purchases.

Same here. This is the second time this has happened to me and I am through with this forum. Nothing against you other guys and gals, but I am tired of working my way up, then being knocked back down again. This is the last time I post on this site again...good luck to you all and hope they can get this kind of crap worked out. Over and OUT.

Just noticed this too because someone was commenting on another member's post count -- Lol.

Hope it's fixed soon....

It is fixed...what you see is what you get. LL has a thread describing that post counts will occasionally be pruned and they have not been able to identify why/how. There's a new policy in place in order to list in the sale section - 45 days of membership or 100 posts.

Telling them of the changes, or the cause / solution is a waste of time...

All they care about is themselves, why they were impacted and want a written apology along with a handwritten invitation to the pity party.

I can adjust the policy, make 3 threads on the subject, and still they will personally cry and never look for an answer, so I can careless if they haven't figured it out we changed things to adjust for the issue.

Actually, I just haven't seen anything about it at all...Now that I know there is a post, I will go and look for it...

I would find the cause, interesting though but, understand it, especially if we're hosted on a Nginx/Unix base -- The auto-reset then makes a ton of sense but, to the general user, yes, it would be a waste of time. :)

I am seriously gonna make the entire for sale section pay to play since all anyone cares about is their ability to sell shit.

If I let you post shit for sale anytime you want, just set up a fee, then I can stop getting this stupid emails about your post count.

For the love of God LL, please don't do that. You'd be better off with a fee system for people to buy rank. (kidding, please don't do that either) ;)

as one of the assholes that sent an email giving a heads up about lost posts, im sure theres a couple people like me that were literally just trying to bring it to attention that there was something up. i was unaware that there was already info on it posted somewhere and definitely wasnt trying to make waves. i could imagine that getting hundreds of emails about the issue would be annoying at best, but when something like that happens theres no way your not going to hear about it. as far as the lost posts, im not going to lose any sleep over it and im definitely not looking for a "hand written apology" or an "invitation to the pity party".

As if shit doesn't get posted "IMMEDIATELY" when there is something someone doesn't like on here.

They make repeated posts on the subject, so it is not like you cant look for 2 seconds in the Bear Pit or the Site Information Section and not find it ...

The emails are ridiculous and only care about THEIR ability to sell shit... they are bringing anything to our attention, they want their situation changed. There is a difference.
