Here are some of the best pics from a little prairie dog adventure I had. I may be morbid, but I think seeing the differing levels of destruction different bullet weights/types/constructions/speeds/calibers do. That being said there are some other pictures in the album as well. FYI, drinking was done after shooting, while observing our work:

Western Kansas, only about an 8 hour drive which is about as close as any dogs can be found to Mid-Mo.

Outstanding. Does anyone know of some good public spots near Great Falls, MT? I've got to get my wife and son out to shoot some prairie dogs.

Awesome shooting. Looks like a few different options to kill pdogs....

Looks like a lot of fun....where I hunt when you pop the top on a bottle you are off the gun for the rest of the day.

I only ever take my .22-250 shooting a 75 gr A-max. It is an annual trip, and I've seen some impressive carnage with it, but DAYUM! the .338 turns em inside out!

That looks like a lotto fun. Give us a rough estimate on round count. That is something that is on my bucket list and when is the best time of the year to go.

Very nice shooting ! I love popping Prarie poodles on uneducated dogs its the most fun you can have with your clothes on. There are lots of the lil bastards in the oklahoma panhandle. Gunfreak in my experience late April through early June is the best time around here. But we have shot them from early march through mid to late October. If the weathers decent and the sun is out they'll move as long as the wind isn't over about 25 mph.
