Got my hands on 500 hybrid target 30 cal 230 grain bergers,I have new lapua brass and want to load but can't find any reloading info for these .any info will be appreciated

That's a lot of bullet for a 308 I don't or haven't heard of anyone shooting a 308 with that much bullet maybe someone with quick load can help out.

I shooting the 230 in the 308, although i have a 30" barrel. They are only going 2515-2530 with h4350 but boy is it accurate, cuts over a min on wind at 1k versus my 185 load. As much h4350 as you can stuff in there and you are still safe.
I tried varget, started at 36gn, worked up to max around 42, didn't get same accuracy as h4350 but close to same speed.
Imr4007ssc got me there too with some room to go up 38gn to 44gn.
All win brass, br2 primers.
2.288" to ogive, ~3.050 oal

I would think that is a lot of bullet for a .308. It might be better suited for 30 06, unless as previously posted you have a longer barrel with a 1:10 twist.

I use the 230 in my 300 win mag. they do well in it w4831sc . If you would loke to sell some of those send me a pm. thanks

My measurement to the ogive is 2.390 with the 230s and thats jumping them .015 to the lands. My throat must be a lot longer than yours. You jamming or jumping them? Im still in the testing stage, haven't nailed the exact load down yet.

Sorry for the delay.
Yea your throat is much more ideal than mine...mine seems to be perfect for the 185hybrids.
In an effort to get as much case capacity as possible and get as much pressure as i can with H4350, i started off jamming them ~.013-.015".
My 300yd "ladder" test showed a very wide accuracy node with 5 rounds (2gn diff) all being in a 3/4" group.
With H4350 the load is just easy to shoot and the recoil feels much softer. With varget (same mv, .015" jump) the recoil was VERY sharp and hard to group well.

I'm thinking of trying hotter primers with H4350 to get a little more mv...don't know if that is worthwhile or not.

If you are getting 2500 ftps with the 230s and its hammering with the BR2s DON'T TOUCH THE LOAD! No need to experiment with mag primers, if it aint broke don't fix it. As for Varget, I agree with your findings as for the recoil. I didn't try Varget with the 230s, im testing 4350 but i used Varget with the 185s and 200s in my older rig in FTR. It shot well but not as accurate as N-150 and Varget was a sharp kick to the shoulder. N-150 has a different recoil, more of a push than a sharp kick. After matches with the 200s and Varget i was sore, I can shoot N-150 and the 200s all day and not notice it. Kinda crazy. How many grains of 4350 you running with the 230s?

Sorry again for the delay, little tornado cleanup work going on.
Good point, guess i need to leave well enough alone. But i'm a perfectionist and am always tinkering.
Well i am glad you found the same thing about varget...thought i was just feeling things lol.
47gn in win cases gets me 2515-2530, 46.5 in lapua gets me 2500-2515.
I have tried everything to make 308 more than a 308, the most effective way i have found to fit that much under a log like the 230 is to use a long drop tube, it's actually a carbon arrow.
I tried vibrating toothbrushes, pads, etc, no better than drop tube.

Im using a 10 inch drop tube also. Im running Lapua cases and in testing i got to 46.6 gr before I saw pressure and i was over 2500 also but thats not where the accuracy was at and with the price of Lapua brass i really don't wanna push em that hard. I found the lower node (45 gr) to be more accurate and im jumping them about .015 Im only running about 2440-2450 but brass will last and its accurate. I've only tested out to 200 yards but its a hammer. Im hoping to get out this week after work at my buddies place to shoot 500 yards and see what its doing.
