In light of many topics concerning the mention of either fruit(the goat cheese choice is in reference to something Delta4-3 posted), I though it would be important to find which one is the most popular.

Which one would you prefer?

I would eat something with goat cheese, and apples though. It' would sound interesting in an omelete.

I have planted a goat cheese tree in your honor, and donated money, in your name(Delta4-3), to a program that takes at-risk kids, and puts them on a farm making goat cheese. Is it child exploitation? What am I, a grand jury?

The point is that the world of goat cheese will be that much stronger because of you(but mainly me).

Ah philosophy...I think...or maybe this is literal, either way I have this covered.

I like apples pretty well, consider myself a bit of an apple snob. I LOVE citrus all citrus, even what many people consider icky. I do love a good sweet orange, those thin skinned ugly bastards that they make juice from...OH MY GAWD!

Now my uncle loves apples...any apples...all apples...mealy apples, crisp apples, even them damn ugly tart june apples. He likes oranges ok, but citrus ain't his favorite fruit by far. Believe it or not he is a bit of a citrus snob. Like me and apples, he knows what is best, if you tell him what you are looking for in citrus he can point you to exactly what you need.

Now can anyone guess why this weird play on oposites plays out in this way? Where do you think Uncle lives? Where do you think I live?


I live in the heart of apple country. I can get you any apple you want, old breeds new breeds, hell I can get you some apples the world never sees in a super market. Wife got me some Honey Crisp the other day, I like apples, but I eat em cause that is what is available I get all the apples I want so it don't take long till I am sick of em...won't even look at one for months. When orange season comes I am like a kid on Christmas.

Now Uncle he lives in Florida, oranges, kumquats, grapefruit, tangerines, tangelos, lemonjellos..anything he wants. Yeah he eats em, but he laments about a really good apple whenever he talks about fruit.
I love to go to Florida, hell almost talked the wife into a road trip last year. Not to go to see Micky, or a spaceshuttle, nope...JUST to pick oranges and grapefruit. She was almost in. Love to pick any citrus off a tree and make a fool of myself. Funny, my uncle talked about moving here, I think he saw all the apple trees and to him it must have looked like heaven.

I love citrus. I will eat an apple if that is all I can get.
Uncle loves apples but will eat citrus if that is all he can get.

Man desires the things the most, which are most difficult to obtain.
