Anyone know when we'll be able to order and/or pickup the updated FN SPR A5 XP with the fluted threaded barrel? I've shot the "older" version several times and love it. This new model would make a perfect host for my TBAC 30P-1 :D

Hey Ben- is FN planning any 6 or 6.5 variants for the spr line?

For whatever reason my distributor's descriptions of the 75640 doesn't show the threaded barrel. The only difference between the older version 75540, from the item descriptions with my distributors, is that the new 75640 has a Tactical Box Magazine (TBM), versus the older model listing Detachable Box Magazine (DBM).

Interesting...

Distributor descriptions and photos may be very vague and incorrect at times unless they actually have the item in stock and inspect them prior to posting. Put more credence in the product number they list and the manufacturer's description of that product number. The distributor may or may not have a photo of the exact product.

For example, the 75540 does have the TBM. It replaced the 75530 with the DBM. The 75640 is the same rifle with TBM, threaded muzzle, bolt knob and 1:10" twist. All three of these rifles have the McM A5 adjustable stock, 20" chrome lined and fluted barrel, in black with 20 MOA steel rail.

Scout, as far as the 6mm or 6.5mm SPRs, regrettably, FNH has no plans for that in 2013. That is about all I can say at this time.

Finally! a manufacturer has realized 1 in 10" is the way to go in 308. I was going to buy an a5m or a3g but I prefer a 1 in 10, so I just built off a PBR. I second that the 6.5 would be another huge step.

You are aware that Savage, Remington and Tikka offer rifles with a 10 twist?

Jeez, where are these things at??? I've had a 24" .308 on order for a while now.....nowhere to be found :(

Realizing you do not unilaterally make marketing strategy decisions for FNH, I sure hope you suggest 6s and 6.5s (with suitable twists) at every available opportunity...?

Bump for an update. I have a 75640 on order and would love more info on when I could possible expect it to come in. Any info is appreciated.
