Got back off leave and the new stock for the M24 was waiting for me :). Its an AICS designed to take the long action chambered in .308. What they did was take the LA chassis and milled out a SA magwell at the front of the magwell area leaving a good deal of material between the rear of the magwell and the triggerguard. I believe this stock was actually slated for the Mk.13 the NAVY uses. Anyways, here are a few pictures. I have a set of AI pistol grip sides on order that will be here on Friday and I will be shooting it on Saturday. So far I love the combo.

I want an M-24, but I don't have $3600 laying around for the rifle, let alone another $2000+ for the glass to go with it.

But some day................some day..........

Got the new stock sides in from Mile High Shooting. Great outfit to do business with, they shipped the next business day and they arrived in 4 days. The new sides were very easy to install and all you have to do to get them to fit a long action chassis is cut about 3/4 of an inch off the black connector piece that is in front of the magwell. The pistol grip is fantastic and much more comfortable than the thumbhole in my opinion. The only thing that would make it better for me would be a fatter rear grip piece for those of us with long fingers. Hopefully AI will come out with more rear grip pieces in the future, or perhaps Victor will make one. I know the viperskins have an XL option but I didn't think it was worth the extra $70 I would have paid for the whole stock. Also, I got the green because that's all that was in stock anywhere and I will probably end up rattle canning them tan like the scope. I have also been looking at scopes recently and see either a Mk4 ER/T, Mk6 3-18, or Mk8 in my future, just need to save a little coin. Anyways, here are a few crappy pictures.
