I plan on h4350 and 140s either bergers or smk. Just gotta make the time. I set aside a day already last week for 22 testing.

The shooting gods are not smiling on me right now. For my 260 I needed brass. None to be found. For my 300wsm I needed R22. None to be found. The panic buying of the general public sure do mess with your average shooter. I did manage to find some Cfe and H4381sc though!

Won't be able to make Riplinger. A few friends from work and I are going to the U.P. to shoot on an old air field they mow to shoot out to 1600. Can't wait to put the .50 out a ways. Jeff let us know if there will be any shoots come December or after, I'll be over for the winter shoots again. Those were a lot of fun.

Edit: Geno, call the folks at Mile High Shooting, they usually have Lapua .260 in stock. Nice brass, I have a bunch of it.

A buddy called last night and said Fleet has 260 Nosler brass. I'll check it out.

Yeah, at least they did in Plymouth. Price was cheaper to order lapua. I had some nosler once, it was weight sorted and real nice but dang it was soft. Maybe heavy loads through the .223 AI didn't help the cause but it seemed a lot softer than Win.

We shall see. I picked up 50 cause I'm in a pinch to try and get some loaded and tested before next weekend.

Looks like I'll be there! Cold bore hit today at 500 was only 1/2" off. Wind was 5-10 from the 9. If I can do that again tomorrow at 600 I'll consider that a success!

No 260 this time. Gonna bring the wsm for tac and a 308 for the hunter class.

It was a cool shoot with a lot of cool guys! I'm glad I made this one. I didn't do nearly as good as I had hoped but that's the way it goes.

Glad you had a great time, to bad we did not get a chance to visit a little. Where about on the target did you end up or what was your rifle setup, just trying to place a face.

Cheers

Ended up a little left and about a foot high on the 600. Shot the long 300wsm with a can. Shooter 7 in both classes. I loaned my 308 to Phil to shoot in the hunter class. We both need up wide left.

How about you?

Ok I know the face now, I came up and asked how you ended up and what you were shooting after the placings were handed out.

A bunch of us also use SRTs, Gemtecs and TBACs as well, we were going through the bench as it started to rain good right after you headed to the club house. We had a good group of shooters with a bunch of folks not there due to the hunting season.

My 260 ended up just over the top of the diamond a little - placed 2nd in the 600
My 338LM ended up 3 1/4" tall 3/4" right - placing would have been 11th in the 600

I know you questioned your program as far as settings, an FYI to confirm, I checked the distance prior to shooting to confirm my settings and it was 600 spot on. By chance was your programming running meters instead of yards?

Glad to hear you had a good time

Cheers

Alright Jeff now I got ya now I think... You shoot the Gemtec?

It was a pretty nice group of guys. I'll try to make it again. I shot at 500 again this morning to verify and again was spot on. A couple of guys on here figure I'm not handling the rifle consistent from bipod to bags so I'll have to try to that straightened out before next time.

I use a Thunder Beast (338P-1) 338LM suppressor for my Barrett as well as my 260 I built. We were sitting /standing close to the door that takes you to the back 500 yard bench. I had Multi-Cam pants on with black pullover with a red H&S logo on it.

One of our group Gibs shot the 6.5x47 with a Gemtec right before you headed to the club house in the rain.

I spoke with Gene that was running the line about having another night shoot, this should happen again he also asked about any interest in shooting 900 plus yards if landowners allow, we stated we were defiantly up for it.

Let me know if you would want to shoot some steel some time 12’’, 9”, 5”, 3x5”, 1.5” Hostage and Head Hunters from 500 to 823 yards Suppressed.

Cheers
Jeff

There! Pictures work a lot better with my brain! I met a lot of new people yesterday. I don't get up that way too often. It was a 2 hour drive from wautoma. Where do you shoot besides at that club?

We shoot at the following

500 to 823 yard steel course, in my back yard

TNT club – Spencer, WI.
Jan 1st for starters, somewhere in the 500 or 600 range for 2014, a few sighters and then 5 rounds shot for tightest group
They want to shoot every month or every couple weeks in the winter

Lonely few club, Riplinger, WI.
in the fall 600 and 500 yard cold bore and night shoot events

Fox trackers south of Marshfield
Bowmen memorial cold bore event – 1st Saturday in March – Big event a lot of shooters, good payout

Spring – April gopher shoot in Galesville – steel shoot event, a blast

Fort McCoy WI. Shooting on Base and shooting their unknown distance computerized silhouette course, a unknown secret of a shooters blast, and it is just ask anyone that has attended

We used to make a trip or two a year annually to Thunder Valley, Coshocton, Ohio – 2013 got canceled do to conflicts, Another Ultimate Blast

A couple of tactical steel courses set up locally – always a great time

Cheers

May till Oct I work 7 days a week so that puts an end to just about all of my shooting. I have a very busy agenda year round but I'm trying to make some more comps. I'm really gonna try to make the night shoot at Lonely Few.
