Afters some searching I came up with little. Over the last couple years I have heard some ramblings and rumors about why this scope was developed and who it was sourced/speced by.

I was wondering if anyone has a good, detailed history or more information on how this came to be. If the rumors are true, I just it very interesting that said unit/organization went to Bushnell.

Thanks

The first time I ever heard of the Elite Tactical 3.5-21 was when I saw George post a thread about a possible group buy on the original DMR with the GAP G2 reticle that he designed for or with Bushnell. I didn't know it existed before then. If there was a history to it before then I wouldn't be pissed to know the roots

I'd be greatly interested as well. There's always stories of it's origins, but anyone can tell a story, and it seems everybody has/had a buddy who was SF, NSW, OMGWTFBBQ, or whatever else...

I remember Horus selling this scope with the H58 reticle before the Bushnell version came out. I want to say it was a Mil/Leo exclusive at the time but I could be wrong.

The first scopes with the H58 sold for $760 to all LEO/Military. It felt like the H58 reticle was part of a trial run, it was quickly replaced with the H59/gap and is no longer offered. They sold off the H58s and didn't look back. There's a Bushnell rep that hangs around... maybe he'll chime in with more back ground on it.
