SH hello everyone,

I am honestly hoping I am pulling a Newbie mistake and I haven't got a problem. SO My new scope is in ! Got it leveled mounted love it!. Went to bore sight it and got it done then to move those turrets back to zero I noticed that they were already 2 revolution hashes high.... dialed it all the way down and the mil quad reticle confirmed it took 10 mills up to bore sight, cool. SOOOOO my question. now that I boresighted it how do I get the turret back to the 1st revolution hash mark since starting on the 3rd hash would deafeat the purpose of knowing which revolution your on. Yes I made sure to looken all the allen screws plenty so it was not touching the internal copper stud. But it simply will not go down..... I quit trying to figure it out less I brake somthing. Anyone can ya help

sooo i am guessing basically it makes sense..... you cant get ur zero to start on the lowest possible turret level it is just there to show when you do increase revolutions?

Yep. My 12x mil/mil SWFA is the same way, zeroed at the 2nd revolution mark. You're stuck that way unless you want your zero off by 10 mils.

Those lines on the turrets housing are just for reference so you know which revolution of the turret your zero is.

Zero your rifle first, then loosen the turret cap screws to loosen the turrets and put them on the 0 on the turret. Whatever rev line it ends up on is what it is. The only way to change that is to get a base with a different angle.

Ok glad others know wat im talking about and I dont look like a dumbass. Yea mine zeroed right on the 2nd rev line. too.
I do have a 20 MOA base .....

thanks man. I thought bout it for a minute and it made sense lol I just at first was like ummmm... I really want to start at 1 when counting lol. Newbie move. Oh well got it handled now. and I love the scope this is above and beyond my nikon 3x9 .

So how do you like yours? I feel pretty good bout this buy after seeing it and looking through it plus it looks great on the rifle

Love it, especially for the $. Only thing I had to do to make it better was use the blue Loc-Tite on the little turret screws to keep it from slipping bouncing around in the car. I'll probably get another one soon for my Savage varmint in 223.

Are we talking about mechanical zero here? Shouldn't you have the scope mechanically zeroed and than zero the rifle?
No that isn't what we are talking about. Called SWFA today to confirm That the hashes on the elevation turret are only a point of reference after you have zeroed your rifle But that there is no way to make them start at absolute bottom and it isn't something you would actually want. Like myself my zero is 200 to shoot 100 I must dial down .6Milrad and if i was at mechanical zero this would be impossible.

Yeah I have a 0 MOA base and mine zeros at the 4th hash, but I still can dial up to 7+3 so not really a problem... with my .260 I can go out to about 1300-1400 yards

Yea I have 20 MOA base on mine, Pretty fun I can with my zero at 200 shoot 100 300 400 500 without dialing a single thing
