I paid for my suppressor from Dakota Silencers in December. My check for the 200 dollar stamp cleared in mid January. Dakota silencers told me 6 months was the estimated wait time. It ended up being a lot longer so far and I was especially worried since the release date was 2 weeks after the government shutdown. Dakota silencer's assured me that the only people furloughed were the people who answered the phones and that my suppressor would clear soon. The government shutdown ended and the NSA of ATF(whoever it is) could no longer give me a release date because "they didn't know how the shutdown would affect them" is what I was told. Now I call and the release date has been extended until February and I wanted it for deer hunting. I feel that the libs incharge are retaliating against gun and suppressor owners since Im sure over 80% at minimum are conservative. How does the phones not being answered for 10 days cost me 4 more months of waiting. Im so bitter and angry about it right now and Im not sure what to do.

Unfortunately, you're in the same boat as everyone else. There isn't much you can do about the situation directly. You can contact your local representative and voice your opinions but as far as pushing your suppressor through by your own means you are SOL. I have 4 pending. Could be worse.

Yeah I should have read through the other posts before posting. This is definitely leftist retaliation.
I just wish we could prove it and get a class action lawsuit going. They are hoping that by hurting us we wont support Cruz and others. Just sucks spending 1000 dollars and having nothing to show for it for so long.

Everyone waiting on NFA stuff is taking a big bite of the same sandwich. The whole NFA process instituted to "legally" prevent citizens from owning these items with a cost prohibitive tax.

I hope we all get our cans soon. Unfortunately this is happening to a lot of us. If it helps, mine went off late Jan and I still don't have it. It sucks.

^^^ +10000. Contact your rep. Respectfully and intelligently identify the problems we are all facing. We are ALL citizens trying to acquire these items in a lawful manor and we are PAYING for this kind of treatment. It doesn't take a year to do a background check..... We aren't applying for a TS clearance here....

IMO, You should also reach out the ASA. Would do them good to hear from the people that keep this industry alive..the paying customers.
Beside, a call from all of the folks that find themselves worse off more now than ever in the history of NFA might just get them motivated to wtfu and actually DO something.
If everybody over 4 months called THEM and let them know how you REALLY feel about them things might change.
The only thing worse than no representation, is this kind of representation. Yea, we know...we have all heard it.... We got form 3s! We got form 3s! We got form 3s!
That and a UPS truck will keep this industry alive for all of six seconds.
It was never about wholesale, it was ALWAYS about retail....and every single person with an IQ over 50 knew it.

Suggestions? Cash? Just ask them why since they have been in existance process times have increased three fold and what specifically they are demanding on behalf of the END CLIENTS to improve that. Ask them why their web site is filled with philosophic drivel instead of specific positions and copies of letters sent to BATF expressing concerns and actionable, accountable demands.

Its like asking GM to represent your interests at the MVD....not going to work.

Hell you might as well ask if Obama wouldn't mind signing an executive order to deregulate NFA. That's about as realistic as making "actionable, accountable demands" on the BATF right now.

I rest my case...

Look, everybody has an opinion, on the subject of the ASA, mine would be this cartoon...
