Hi Fellas,

Wanted to introduce myself to this site, as well as my rifle.
I wanted to build a rifle that's as versatile as possible. I'm not much of a "run-n-gun" kind of guy, and enjoy precision over speed reloads. My aim was something rigid enough for great accuracy, but light and portable to strap to a pack and lug around with no stress.

Upper:
Vortex PST 2.5-10x32
ADM Recon SW 30mm Mount
Centurion Arms 14" CMR
Geissele Super Gas Block
BCM Ambi-Gunfighter CH
KAC 45 Offset BUS
KAC Thumb Rest
Wilson Combat 16" SS Match barrel, fluted, Mid-length Gas
Battlecomp 1.0
Magpul MOE rail section
Atlas Bipod

Lower:
Magpul MOE Fixed Carbine Stock
(LOP of this stock is perfect for me, I shoulder it well, and cuts down on weight)
Magpul MOE-K Grip
Magpul BAD Lever
Geissele SSA-E Trigger

Beautiful.

Need a little color on the barrel as well.

Show some groups so she is not just another pretty face.

I'll be sighting her in today. Just got it back from the dipper yesterday, so haven't had a chance to shoot it with the new barrel yet.
Pics will be coming later, hopefully I don't embarrass myself....

Looks like your property is big enough for you to take her for a spin in the yard.

Squeezed in a few minutes to shoot today and, long-story short, I'm not too thrilled. After a bit of fine-tuning on paper, I did 30 rounds to see how it would work out.

Functionally speaking, it was flawless. No hiccups of any kind. All brass ejected in damn near the exact same spot.

Accuracy wise, things could have been better. I was shooting off a bipod, resting on a notsogreat bench, only using my hand as rear-support, at 25 meters. (ETA: I was shooting 68 Gr. Black Hills)

I shot 25 rounds at the shoot-n-see, adjusting after the first three rounds (the ones not touching), then the last 5 rounds on the info sheet. Personally, I know I could've shot better, but one of my worst findings is that my scope has begun to fog since getting it dipped. Towards the end of shooting, the reticles was almost invisible.

I've never dealt with scope fogging so I've got some serious research to do to see if it'll clear up over time, or if I have to get a different one.

The good news is that I hear Vortex really stands behind their products.

Vortex customer service is supposed to be awesome but I don't know how they will feel about no issues until after it was dipped. If you didn't check it before dipping, potential lesson learned or potentially Vortex will do what I wouldn't expect them to.

You definitively need to stretch it out more than 25 yards to see what it can do. Also, the accuracy may come in a short while.

I already spoke with them before I had it dipped, and they reiterated their No Questions Asked Replacement. Truly fantastic customer service.

I think so, too. A lot of new features were added together recently, so I'm hoping theres just a "meshing" period.
