According to Volvo the steering is special, but it is Ultra-special in reverse. I agree though that the truck the spreads apart (truck on left side of screen) is a cargo box on frame or straight truck as you said. Truck on right side with trailer only goes backwards it does not steer.

I heard that when the mayor of Toronto gives you the "key" to the city... it weighs about 2.3 pounds.

Sean the Nailer... c'mon, give us the prairie province perspective on this... Bob and Doug never saw this coming, did they? Back bacon, beer, tooks, and Bolivian Marching Powder!!! Tabernaq dere Crockett? My Testarossa don't go so good in da slush, eh? ;-)

Cheers,

Sirhr

SirHR, what can I say that hasn't already been said? Or done? Any line I give you here, would probably be snorted up. In council yesterday, he was mocking the process by miming "drinking and driving", to which you're sure to see soon. We aren't even following his escapades, here, as we have our own mayoral issues that deal with corruption on a much grander scale. This "Ford" character is more along the lines of "Side-Show-Bob" compared with what's "really going on",,,, but this is NOT a political thread and I've no intention whatsoever of crossing that line.

This is somewhat beyond the "Bob and Doug" mantra. They had respect, dignity, and earned fame. This guy, well.... I'd say it's all gone to his head but that would be crass. And ironic. And true. And intended. Which makes it a pun, right? (see what I did there?)

And by the way, its "touque" and believe me, they are required possessions up here. Some may think that the "cramp their style" or even "don't match their shoes" or some other vain idiotic thought. But when the weather turns, they (Touques) are THE crowning glory of warmth, comfort, and performance.

(see what I did there too?)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuque

That's all I got, for now. It ain't much, but to tell the truth.... this isn't exactly a priority of my thoughts at the moment. Much more concerned with other issues in life. But thanks for the distractions.

I've said it before... I'll say it again. Every generation has their "greatest" sons and daughters. There is no "greatest generation." Only great citizens. Those who went to Southeast Asia while their peers were burning draft cards and whining... are the ones who make their generation as great as any other... in spite of their peers who hid in Canada, worshipped Jane Fonda and turned their backs on those who served.

In greatest respect,

Sirhr

Dammit Every time I hear those words I get something in my eye.

It is said that people get the government they deserve. They must have been very deserving in 1863. I wish we were so deserving now.......

There were a LOT of people who weren't onboard with his ideals and principles in 1863. Food for thought.

Today, this should motivate everyone... 150 years ago 269 words were spoken, against which all others are now measured.

Sirhr

Does motivate me very much, however if anyone has heard "The President" chose to leave out the words "Under God" when he recited the Gettysburg address a few days ago along with numerous other famous people who did in fact recite the speech exactly as it was in history. I am sure it was just a mistake!!

True, he did expand the powers of the President greatly.

For whatever Lincoln was or was not, he was a man appropriate for the time. I will leave it at that.

And...that's bullshit. Conservative media has been going apeshit over this because it fits their narrative. But there are different drafts of the speech and not all of them include the phrase "under god." Facts suck when you're an ideologue.
The Gettysburg Address by Abraham Lincoln

I'm aware of the different drafts asshole!! There was only one speech given by Lincoln and that is history!! Reciting a draft that was never spoke is what's bullshit!!

Wow, you nailed all three: politics, religion, aggression....with lots of exclamation points too!

A quick Google search yields the truth of the matter.
You're more than welcome to have some of that.

I got it Tucker, so what did you Google that the President read the Nicolay copy of the speech and everyone else read the actual speech. Check out the only Draft signed by Lincoln himself at the memorial. Which by the way was the actual speech. So what was the point of everyone else reading the actual speech and the Historian giving the President a draft copy of another speech? Coincidence??

The exact problem with actual history in our country today, people have chosen to either omit or paraphrase parts of history to suit their own ideology. My comments are not political nor are they religious. They are strictly about historical facts, which most people do not seem to place an emphasis on today.

For once we are in complete agreement, Dag. As Ludwig Wittgenstein put it in the Tractatus Logico-Philosophcus :

1 The world is all that is the case.
1.1 The world is the totality of facts, not of things.
1.11 The world is determined by the facts, and by their being all the facts.
1.12 For the totality of facts determines what is the case, and also whatever is not the case.
1.13 The facts in logical space are the world.
1.2 The world divides into facts.
1.21 Each item can be the case or not the case while everything else remains the same.

I can not remember, how many Americans did Lincoln take to their grave in his war? All this over the citizens in sovereign states voting to be free in the "land of the free and the home of the brave"

I'll give you hint, its much more than Hitler and Bin Laden are responsible for.

Gotta watch it until the very end.

Abject ignorance knows no bounds, nor does desperate ideology. I was able to find this transcription of the actual speech in my school library during 7th grade, and that was in the 70's! Please shake yourself of intellectual penury and JUST READ THE DAMNED THING. God is quite clearly there, and I'm not sorry one bit that it doesn't fit your narrative. Here's the actual speech word for word, with notations for the pause for applause, so print it out and suck on it for a while:

Speaking in strictly historical and factual terms, noted documentary film maker Ken Burns provided all five versions for the four living Presidents and others to read for his project - Learn the Address
