Does manners make a stock for the savage yet? I haven't been able to locate it online if they do, but I could have swore that I read they were going to a while back. Just can't really deal with the Tacticool, and love the manners stocks I have.

Why would you want to put a TRR-SR in a Manners? The stocks are nearly the same. I have bothe the TRR-SR that has been completely upgraded by a gunsmith and a CZ 453 VPT-SR completely rebuilt from the ground up, placed in a Manners. To each his own but... just want to understand.

What work did you have done on your TRR-SR? I have the same with the older wood stock that seems to be difficult to torque down the action. I would be interested in a better stock for mine depending on the cost of upgrades. My argument would be that it is still a fairly cheap wood stock, just curious.

Weapon bought through SavageGunsmithing, and their rimfire package deal, bottom metal rings/base. Had them rethread suppressor theads. Provide email and I'll send you parts details. With Fed510, shooting shotgun hulls at 125yds becomes routine.

thanks for the info, I will look closer at the site. Might be worth sending it out. I will PM my email.

I would love to have a Manners T6 for my Savage. The ergonomics are incredible. I would even be tickled about an MCS-T for it!!

I have two rifles that sit in manners t-2a stocks. I just want to get something as close as possible for a training rifle. I already have the same scope on all three, why not try to get the same feel from the stock, I also disagree when you say they're nearly the same. The tacticool side by side with a manners isn't going to get too many of the votes. But as you said, to each ihs own.

Me too. Hopefully they will soon, if they don't already. I haven't tried to contact manners, I wonder if they could do some custom inleting? I have never felt with them direct, but I hear good things.

I bought a normal mark ii savage, sometimes I wish I wouldve gotten the trr-sr because of an even more tacticool look. But I upgraded to a manners t4 and a dip bottom metal, plan on actually bedding it and shooting it quite a bit on turkey day coming up. Its accuracy in the manners and with the dip are pretty awesome, buddy of mine and I shot together this weekend and in 11mph full value wind his trr shot a 4-4.5" group at 140.

Heres my savage in a manners t4 with my super sniper. Its made a hit at 468 yards on a 12" steel plate...it only took about 50 shots to finally get the wind and stars to align and hit it...was holding over into space using tree branches as aiming points and a spotter to help a brother out lol. Splash was almost non existent at the distance even in a dried field.

I have a MkII in a manners stock that I purchased on the group buy last year. It is a far better stock than the soft wood boyds tacticool. I know there's been issues for some but I also really like the Leopard stock that I put the .17 into this past year. It fit me nicely works well, kind of like the AI it appears to be modeled after.

Man does that look sweet. Mind if I ask how much you paid? PM if you'd like, also, did you get it directly through manners?

What kind of groups do you get at 100 yards with this? I've just started into this whole rimfire animal. I've shot a considerable amount of 308 and larger rifles but I can't seem to get better than a hair under 2" group at 100 yards with lapua Midas +, or is that about what I should expect?

Sorry, I completely overlooked your group size, that's awesome. .22lr stands to teach me a lot about shooting. I'll ask you the same question, what types of groups can you get at 100 one a nice day?

I dont usually shoot it for groups, but the best i remember its around .75" with the bulk stuff on a light breeze kind of day. I use the .22 for barricades and positional work practice. I ordered it from manners and dont recall how much i paid. I had a cert that i won at a match that i used.

I haven't shot 100 yards for groups, I did have a 1/2 inch 10 shot group at 50 with CCI SV after I zero'd my scope shooting prone with bipod and rear bag. Like steel ringer, I use it for cheap practice for shooting tactical steel matches. It's not the same as shooting my 6.5 CM but it's still good practice. I know I can hit the chickens at 200 meters in the head or tail to spin them with the .22.

That's great. So it would seem 2" at 100 yards isn't quite up to par. It could be me, probably is, but I can consistently shoot sub .75 MOA with my .308 so it would seem I could do it with a rimfire. Guess I could shoot it out of a sled to see. Where do you do these steel matches? They sound like a riot.

With a 2-7x vortex on my FVSR and factory Tupperware stock 1" on a calm day isn't out of the question with CCI SV. Federal bulk is about 1.5" and Remington golden bullets has a ton of fliers. Group size at 100yds with rimfire really depends on what ammo your gun likes. I got lucky and mine likes relatively cheap stuff, if I had to shot the 15 dollar a box stuff to group well Id go back to centerfire.

I absolutely love my TR, even though it is still in the Tacticool stock. The CCI Hypers didn't do too bad, but their standard velocity produced some pretty nice groups. New bottom metal, stock and pillars should prove to be an awesome combination. I will have to speak with Tom to see what plans he has for expanding the line to include the T & T6.
