Yes another one of these, I dont care about the glass or looks, i want a 50mm scope that can track as the day is long!

Im getting a custom 300 WM 700 back, and i dont want to sell it but don't really want to spend 1.5-3K on optics for it. Yes it will be used for long range shooting, so i want target/tactical turrets with parralax.

I was thinking either a leupold VX3 target (hows tracking?), or a ziess

Vortex. shop around and you can get a razor for $15-1700

spot on tracking, awesome glass, mil/mil, FFP, no question warranty

Sightron s3 without a doubt mine tracks faultlessly, glass is very good.
Here in the uk a 8-32x56 comes in at £880
Or the 6-24x50 comes in around £790

Value for money is second to none.

Again for the Sightron S-III...Mine is the 8-32X56 with the LRMOA reticle sitting on a 300RUM. AMAZING scope for the $.

Thats what I got, it does track very well. Under 900 bucks.

I have a 6-24X50 SIII. Been to 1600 and back no problem. The glass I feel is right there NF. For under 900 I don't think you can beet it. If the coin is available NF is a nicer scope.

sightron SIII for variable, I have 2 of them and tracking/box test is dead on on my Fclass rifles. Glass quality and price are both excellent

if you buy your Sightron from Big Supply Shop.........you'll pay less than $800 ;-)

i have 3 Sightrons right now... 2x 8-32 MOA/MOA, 1x 8-32 MOA-2, and 1 3.5-10x44 (non-illuminated)...all are FANTASTIC and have glass easily equal to that of night force

IOR 2.5-10x42. There was one on the classifieds for $650. You may get lucky and find a USO ST-10 for a grand on the classifieds as well.

I know a number of people that shoot long range and extended long range distances with Sightron scopes. They all are very impressed with how well these scopes track.

Never had an issue with any of my Leupys tracking true, or not returning to zero. My Latest is a Mark4 4.5-14x40 LR/T, great scope for way less then a K...

buy Zeiss Conquest HD5( the HD glass is beautiful, tracking is great), this scope HD is new for 2013 and I like stuff made in Germany.

How much did you spend on your custom rifle? That should tell you what to spend on a scope.

Bushnell 3-12 FFP Mil/Mil or any of the Super Sniper scopes. All are a very good value well under $1000.00, and I have never had a problem with them for tracking or anything else for that matter.

I have the Sightron S3, Viper PST and Bushy ET (6x24-25 ffp), I would give the edge to the Bushy, with the other two a hair behind, a thin hair. I looked through a NF and a few other high end scopes and I have a hard time justifying the jump in value vs the cost diff.

A little pricey but IMHO Definately the best scope for your application under $1000 Zeiss 4.5-14X44 Conquest with Target Knobs and Mil dot reticle to range.
