How long did it take? Mine was less than three weeks including shipping on both ends. In the world of custom precision rifles, it seemed lightning fast to me. But I'm sure he gets backed up at times and I imagine he has a day job as well.

This is something I DEFINITELY need to get done to my Manners T-4. I'm assuming you send just your stock to avoid all the headache on shipping a complete rifle. Not being a gunsmith, what issues am I going to run into in re-installing my action into the stock with the bedding etc.? Once I've had the action bedded I've always treated it as untouchable (probably out of ignorance). And did I see Stockdoc mention converting a fixed into a folder also?

I received my stock today! Joe did an excellent job on it, and it is so much more comfortable to shoot now.

In general you should be fine so long as you torque the action screws properly. Get a good torque wrench like the Borka MG9 kit.

Use the recommended torque values for your action. There are a number of threads on the Hide about torquing action screws.

Excellent, thanks for the info. I was always worried that once the action comes out, it doesn't necessary go back IN completely the same.
Thanks again.

Got my A1-3 back from Joe yesterday and it is perfect!! It is everything I hoped it would be and I couldn't be happier with this transaction. I'll post more photos once I get my rifle put back together. For now, here is the "after" pic on the scale... 3lbs 11.4oz. The conversion added only 4.6oz, which seems super light to me. Sweet.

Here's a pic now that I reassembled the rifle. Fantastic conversion. Btw, my stock pack weighed 4.1oz so the net increase was HALF AN OUNCE. And I hate using a stock pack. Time to send Joe another stock that needs converting...

I had Joe install the loggerhead system into a Savage F_Class lamanited stock. The fit and finish was outstanding the price was more then reasonable and the turn around time was exactly as quoted. Joe was a pleasure to work with and I will be sending him more work shortly.

Glad to hear you got parts in. Just sent you a PM on a new McMillan I bought about 15 minutes ago. Just need to see if it's going to ship directly to you or if it's heading to me first. :)
Look forward to hearing from you.

Guys, as far as the warranty issue, I can understand where the makers are coming from.

Fyi, I have well over 300 of these out there, between the ones I was making the hardware from scratch and the ones I started putting kmw hardware on. Not a one has come back.

Most of these have been mcmillans, with h-s a close second, then manners and a sprinkling of b &c, wood stocks and other miscellaneous models

As a side note to this, I would like to thank all my local ncpprc club members and a bunch of my personal friends who were so kind and trusted me with some of their 600+ dollar stocks to "practice" installing these units on. There's a very special active duty sniper friend who allowed me to cut up a kmw sentinel (1200 worth) and make it into a folder. Thanks a million for the vote of confidence.
I have a Cooper Jackson Hunter that I might like to have you work on. Have you done any with the high asymmetrical combs like the Jackson Hunter. I believe the stock is a B&C.

Can anyone give me joe's contact info ,

It looks like he posted directly underneath you which makes it easy: click on his name and it will give you the PM option. He just did a McMillan A4 for me (added cheekpiece). We handled everything by PM and he is a great gentleman to deal with.

I have a savage 300 110 Fcp with hs stock. Looking to have adjustable cheek pad installed. What is next step to move forward with this

Joe can you please PM me with your information I'm on my phone and can't PM you... I was referred to you by Joe M from NorCal range.... I have a A5 adj ... Thank you.

Please pm me I have a manners t5 I would like to get done. I can send payment in any way you prefer it and can send stock anytime you want it.

Had Joe convert this McM A5 on my 280 AI to an adjustable model to match the one on the 260 Imp 30*. Good job - am very glad I had it done.
