I am having great success shooting 108g Scenars out of my 260 Remy. I dont see much load data or posts for this bullet, was wondering if it is a fluke or is there something I don't know about?

Here is my load:
108g Scenar
46.5g H4350
Brass Federal
Primer WLRM
COAL 2.842 (.007 off lands)
AVG FPS 3220
G1 BC .465 G7 .231
Platform Savage Preditor Hunter 10, 24" Tube, 1/8 Twist.
I am shooting Sub MOA out to a grand, at 100 I am shooting .30 groups. Recoil is nil and velocity and accuracy superb.

You probably don't see much data on it because it's such a lite and low bc bullet. There's so many better options to get to 1K than it.

I shot the 107gr SMK out of a 21" 6.5x47. 3000fps. Its only OK. If you are shooting sub moa with it at 1k, stick with the load!!!

How many MOA to get to 1000 with this load?

I shot a ladder test (3 rounds per rung) with the 107 gr SMK this weekend over H100v. I have a bunch of 107's laying around and had never tried H100v.

I found one clear node at 42.9 grains. The 3 group average velocity was 3001 fps with an SD of 4. When I averaged the 9 shot group (including the charge weights above and below) the average velocity was 3001 fps with an SD of 13.

The 3 group node had a vertical spread of 2.10" @ 500 yards, just shy of half MOA.

The misses loves blowing through rounds as fast as I can load them, so this will be great range fodder for her to play with within 500 yards. I'll keep the 140 gr Bergers for myself to shoot at longer ranges.

I've got a 24" Fulton/Criterion 6.5 Creedmoor button barrel and I know this is contrary to everything I've read about the 6.5 Creedmoor-yes, I know we're talking .260 here, but took a stab at both 107 Sierra and 108 Lapua's a month or so ago, and with 39.7 Varget and F210M in 2x fired brass, consistently shoots 5 shots in .5-.6 five shot groups, sometimes .4-.5". Have had it to 500 in pretty strong crosswinds and it does move a good bit, but have a good inventory of both, so may stick with it for time being. 2915 in 24" AR, 3025 in 26" bolt with Lilja barrel, and equally or slightly more accurate in bolt gun. Have a good bunch of VLD's, 123/140 AMax and 123/139 Lapua's, but I truly stumbled into this load without any real effort, and it's working. Not the mainstream path, nor optimal, but works. And to the extent I'll learn a bit more about reading the wind, I still see this as a net positive exercise.
