i am always impressed by them, and cant wait to see the new rifle line up...what are you blokes thinking they will offer in terms of functionality....it must be tough to improve on perfection in my book. Here is my thinking. Even greater ease of calibre change. Would love to see a factory twin stack .223 mag. Will they release their own bottom metal? Titanium action?

No idea why'd they release their own Bottom Metal....since its built into all their stocks. And not sure I see the point in a Titanium Action other than to reduce weight since their's are the toughest actions out there.

I'm guessing it'll all be about modularity. Everything will have switch barrel capabilities.
There will probably be a short action and a long action variant of what is now the PSR, but they will be available in non-kit form, so you can purchase bolts and barrels later.

AW will continue to exist. Imagine porsche to stop making the 911. Not gonna happen.
AX and AE will no longer be made, but all will be the new PSR style switch-barrel setup, either in long or short action.

I'm very curious about price point though, and whether or not there will be anything cheaper than a short action PSR.

.223 would be great, especially for a short action PSR. Switch between .223 and .260 or .308 in a single rifle, but I'm guessing .473" boltface will continue to be the smallest offering.

Interesting guesses Defusion, some right and some wrong.
We will release all information just before the start of Shot Show on Tuesday. Our current website will be replaced with a temporary site and you will be able to download a new brochure. You will also be able to read the brochure online with a "flickbook" and read 3 press releases covering the new products.
Frank will also be posting our press releases and videos on the new rifles.
The current AX will be updated to the 2014 version except for .50 calibre.
The AW as we know it will be replaced with an updated version and called the AT.
The AICS will be replaced with the AT and AX style chassis.
All current AE and AW models will be fully supported into the future.
Rifle s are currently in production and AICS will be transitioned during the next couple of months.
That is all the information I will provide until Tuesday.
I am sure you will like the new product improvements and I can assure you of at lease one surprise with one of the models.
See you at the show.

Curious designation..."AT" Will it bear any resemblance to the older, rarer "AT" rifles Rolexrifleman has shown us in the past?:
Review: Accuracy International AT/AW

I know all questions will be answered in due course, but I feel like a kid on Dec 23rd. I can't say I've ever been this excited for a SHOT roll-out, that's actually going to be produced, and is something in the market for.

I would guess that the AT will probably have a receiver similar to the PSR and it will allow simple barrel swaps.
I hope that there will not be yet another style magazine to have to deal with when it comes to new chassis systems.

You mean this AT...... :)

I wish I could leak some video for you all, but Tom is keeping a close eye on me. :)

Monday after Midnight I will start making them live, you have all your questions answered.

Thank you!i'd like a short action PSR with standard and magnum bolt face!

Just when I thought I was through buying aw-AXs , I guess I'm going to be buying something new soon. Thanks AI for depleting my bank accounts!
Lol

Hi Poison,
How did you know. We have a batch of AT actions from the 1990's and thought of a way to use them up. That photo is one of the few that were supplied back then. We were running out of letters as we had gotten to AX so though we would resurrect the AT. AY and AZ did not sound right. Even thought it could stand for "Accuracy Tactical". I am sure the actions are still good and we have around 200 of them so you have finally found us out. Cut a slot in them and added a bolt so that they could be quick release. I hope there is enough to go around everyone who wants one.
Great detective work Poison.

LOL

Just screwing with them Tom. Thats one of the 2 AT's I owned awhile back till I was dumb enough to sell them off.

And only god knows how many rounds that action has on it.

You should have kept it as only a few were ever sold. Anyway you will have a chance to but another AT and I can assure you that it is better than the one you had.

Already got a PSR I'm good :)

I am interested to find out what the price of the AT will be, and what stock features have been decided upon, but I am fully expecting barrel interchangeability.

I can't think of ever needing a better rifle than my AW already is, though....

:( :( :(

I'm gonna miss the AICS. Guess I'm gonna have to grudgingly get used to pistol gripped chassis after all.

And the AW goes in the history books, like a classic muscle car... My old man still wishes he had his old GTX, I'm never selling my AW, looking forward to the new stuff.

I'm guessing change barrels, ability to swap stock styles from pistol grip and possibly thumb hole to a more traditional stock style. I suspect integrated picatinny on the action. A new bipod style to replace the Parker Hale version. AX style trigger with similar adjustments. Probably double feed AX/AW style magazines. Maybe user swapped barrel shroud depending on the core chassis style used as well. I'm thinking a crossover rifle that can do tactical matches and things like F-Class depending on the core pieces used. Price point probably where the AE was and much cheaper than the AX/AW models. I'd also like it to be 3 lbs. lighter than the current rifles...

So, over the next two days, we get a look at both some new AI offerings and the new Corvette Z06. I need to call my doctor, because I will definitely be experiencing an erection lasting longer than four hours.

I'm looking forward to seeing what comes out but I will probably just wait for people to upgrade and buy a used AIAE Mk 3 and put a .260 barrel on it.

new ZO6 already leaked out. :)

Obviously, I knew about the models coming out, but I couldn't turn down the amazing deal on an AE MKIII. I'm excited to see the new models, but I won't be purchasing one anytime soon. I haven't had a chance to shoot the MKIII yet, but I hope I don't regret getting it after seeing what comes out Tuesday. (I don't know if that's possible). Although, if it hadn't been for the new models coming out, I wouldn't have been able to afford the MKIII anyways haha.

Yeah, I have an '02 AW. Its not like that becomes any less of an excellent shooter at the end of the day. I'm still stoked.

One thing Tom. That AX Spigot bipod that's been available in England for some time now, when will it be available here and the states and what the estimates price point?

Thanks

My booth is right by Tom's I'll sneak a peek in about 3 hours. :)

I'd love to see a 22lr / 17hmr rimfire barrel, bolt, and mag to build the ultimate trainer.

And Tom's booth is fairly close to the door. Tom, I plan on walking by the door close to your booth this morning to try to sneak a peak so it is probably a good idea to keep everything hidden. :)
