i'm sure this topic has seen some use, but i really want an HDMR, but can't pull the trigger.

what if i take a spill, and the scope gets a ding? vortex would say no problem.

I had damage to a scope I owned, a 3.5-21 HDMR. It was dinged up pretty good on the onjective lens bell cap. Could see metal under the paint and a huge dent there. The SF knob and Elev knob were dinged in the same manner, the SF knob did not rotate freely.

I called and told them the damage, they said send it in and lets see what we can do.

2 weeks later I had a new to me refurbished scope. No questions.

I will buy Bushnell for a long time.

nice, it seems like if you have their higher end stuff there's no problem.

I haven't had a problem with my bushnell scope, however, I had a game camera that was on the fritz. I sent it back with a note and a few weeks later I had a new game camera. Not too bad at all.

the bushnell mil discount is pretty good, and can't swing the gen2 razor. so it's either this or another PST

Even though I have several of their scopes, my only interaction with their CS/warranty work was on a scope that they technically didn't even make. Several years ago, I had a Millett scope that crapped out on me. It was a few years old and made before Bushnell even owned Millett. I never did see anything that came with the scope about warranty, etc. But, thought I would send it in and see what I was up against. It took about two weeks and Bushnell sent me a brand new model scope (similar to the old one, but a definite upgrade). I think they went above and beyond on that one and I've been a happy customer ever since.

Wow this make me really happy to hear, thank you for posting. I just purchased a 3.5-21 DMR w/G2 Ret

Warranty transferable? Let's say I bought a used scope, will they warranty it if any issues arise?
Iirc vortex and swfa is transferable.

Two issues here. One is CS and one is customer negligence.

Why would you expect them to replace or fix for free something YOU destroyed through negligence or accident. Does Ford give you a new Truck when you rear end someone while your texting?

The HDMR is one of the stoutest and most robust scopes on the market.

Bushnell has great CS and stands behind their products. This is a questioned that could have been awsnered with a simple search of the website.

a search yielded very mixed reviews, most were actually negative. but it seems since the DMR has been released they've up'd their CS and warranty a bit. i have received PM's from 2 different people that tell a different story. but when there are companies who produce a good product, and say "if you break it, we'll buy it" then it's worth looking into, to see how other companies are handling similar queries.

A great warranty is certainly something to consider. However, I also look at how often customers of one brand or another have to use that warranty. That is just as important to me, if not more so.

I have an issue with my ERS. Bushnell sent me UPS shipping label and are fixing the problem no questions asked. I would say that is good customer service. I am very satsified.

Thanks Tom Fuller and Alpha!

Tom and his team do a great job. I would be very surprised to hear they let someone down. Nothing but great service for me, every time.

i think a lot has changed since Tom joined bushnell, i knew him when he was an E7 at 75thRR. he was a hard ass then, and i'm sure nothing has changed.

Bought a scope here on the Hide and the scope had a bit of a yellow ring around it. Called Bushnell, after shipping it to them, they replaced it with a brand new scope.

I bought an hdmr last yr and it had some probs off the bat. Turned me off to the scope but I sent it in for a refund and they refunded me within 2 wks

I've got a bunch of scopes in my safe, never saw myself rocking a DMR on my main rifle but I do I love it. I used bushnell elites on hunting rifles and they always did fine. Got a Elite 4200 on my custom 8lb 7STW and it always does great. This DMR of mine has been used abused been through some shit but it has NEVER done me wrong. Got a little stiff in some 0deg weather but always did what I told it to do. I'm happy Love the G2 as well

I had a recent encounter with Bushnell CS. I went to the range and couldn't get my HDMR to focus on a target unless it was about 500 yards out and on 7 or 8 mag. I guess my parallax went out on me. So they said send it off to them. I was pretty scared they would have it for a good long while. Well I had it back in 9 days total time (from the day I sent it off). It was quick and easy. While did fix the parallax they did not address my other issue which was in the windage knob. Not a huge deal since its a Horus reticle and I rarely dial for wind anyway but still like like to know that the knobs are reliable.

I replaced my faithful old Bushnell rangefinder with a newer Bushnell unit that I picked up at a big box store after it crapped out with a decade or so of service under its belt.

The new unit sat in the box unopened for a few months until hunting season got close and when I pulled it out to check it, it didn't work. The new unit wouldn't range beyond 20-something yards.

I sent the new one back to Bushnell and they returned it stating that model was no longer made or serviced, but they offered to let me buy another unit at full retail.

I bought a Zeiss and won't ever touch another Bushnell product again.

So how do I get a hold of Tom?

This might be the last time with a Bushnell product if this doesn't work out.

Let me get this straight. If you take a spill and damage your optic, you want the optic company to take care of it?

it looks like the 1 year money back thing expired last year.

They still do it. Use it for a year, if you don't like it for any reason, all of your money will be refunded. No questions asked. Can't beat that.
