So I managed to break the bolt that connects the swiveling part of the bipod to legs by being a clumsy and incompetent idiot.
Contacted Harris bipod co. told them that I broke the part due to my own negligence. They took down my info and address and sent a new part to me no charge. Pretty happy about with their response.

Harris is a reputable company with great customer service. At the gunshow this weekend, I saw several Blackhawk clones of the Harris bipod, which made me wonder:
Are they crap like the rest of BH stuff?
Do they have any amount of CS that is worthwhile?

I wouldn't buy a cloned Harris if yu pad me becuase I know it would break in short order, but damn they were on almost every single AR there.
Overpriced? How about a US revolver in 45ACP/LS for $2200

I had a tall harris bipod that I took to PR 101 class at long gun training here in NY. The tall bipod was too tall because we did most of our shooting from prone. It was a 2 day class and I was coming back from the first day and stopped at gander mountain to see if they had a short harris bipod, they only had the cheap chinese knockoffs. Took the class with the imitation on the 2nd day. After the class in the "refuse" bin it went. I ordered a proper short harris bi-pod. I am not eloquent or technical enough to quantify the feel and the difference so all that I am going to say is that you get what you pay for.

+1 on Harris. While they are "old school" having no web presence and not even most modern means of comms outside of your basic telephone line and the same nice lady to answer it that's worked there for AGES, they have never failed on a single occasion to provide anything but stellar CS in every respect with my experiences with them. While I have switched over the Atlas bipods (for the most part), I'd have no issues whatsoever with purchasing Harris bipods based solely on their quality of CS and the willingness to stand up for their products when so many companies just turn a blind, indifferent eye to putting out quality products and backing them up after the fact (enter the cheap@$$ copies from all sorts of foreign sources these days whether sold by "American" companies or not!).

I damaged a Harris when i took it apart and refinished it and then reassembled it. I called 'em, told 'em I damaged it and asked how much would it cost to fix, they said send it in.

Weeks go by and I don't hear anything. Then months. So I call.

Turns out they had it finished in a couple of weeks, I just didn't provide a phone number and the contact info got damaged and they couldn't read it! They sent it ASAP, same bipod, but with some new parts and working like new. All for the cost of shipping.

Harris is a great company. I have a few of their bipods.
