I am on the list for an AX308MC and a Nightforce BEAST from Mile High Shooting. The rifle might arrive long before the scope does. I am looking for some suggestions for a scope that is still “decent” for use on the rifle while I am waiting for the BEAST. I am looking for a mil/mil and $1500 give or take price range. I am not as concerned with the mag range because it will just be a place holder so I can have some trigger time with the rifle while I wait for the BEAST to show up.

I thought the beast delivery imminent? Do you know something, or just judging based on previous missed deadlines?

I just got word from a Nightforce rep with the mil/leo discount; they will not take orders for the BEAST right now. They expect to be able to take new orders in June. I don't know about the ship dates for existing backorders. Just in case I have to wait a while; I want to be prepared and not have a awsome new rifle, but I have to wait to use it.

Get a used Vortex Razor HD 5-20X, but will need 35mm rings. Best deal new from Mile High with Razor and 35mm Suphr mount with level for $1999. Forget the BEAST. I don't see that happening in mil/mil before 2015, but what do I know? Cancelled my order after 11 months.

Forget the BEAST. There are too many great dcopes avaliable to sit on the side lines for another year. Another year to spend an extra grand all so that you can make a 3 or 4 mil adjustment in .8 seconds opposed to 1 second.

I would grab a ss 5-20 or vortex raxor and spend the money saved on a rifles only class or going to a couple comps

I'd get the ERS. You can get them for around $1600 from dealers but my understanding is promotive has them super cheap. It's also 34mm like the beast so you can use the same mount/rings for both and won't have to change. If you go spuhr get the Tpal version so it will clear the turret housing of the beast.

It's the 5 mil rev DMR on promotive not the ERS unfortunately.

Which Bushnell scope is on Promotive with a retail of $2198? Does anyone know if that is the ERS or the older 5 mil version? Thanks.

What about a Mark 6 3-18 FFP? Pretty good deal with the MIL/GOV/LE Discount.

I got a Bushnell DMR 3-21 about three years ago through the Mil/LE program and it's by far the best buck for the bang scope I have. For the 5 mil a turn it never bothered me at all because the holdover reticles (I have the one with the Horus) will get me out to about 800 for .308 at 21x.
