Recently I lost everything I owned in a house fire on Jan 4th 2014. I say everything as the only thing that survived in a recognizable state was my Liberty Washington 40 Gun safe. I had a few local gunsmiths check out rifles, handguns and related items. Most didn't even want to look at them. I have not had very good luck in cleaning them, although I did manage to get most of the soot and rust removed, Most need refinishing. I had decided on ceracoat as it has worked great for me in the past. I sent a few friendly emails out for approximate costs of refinishing rifles and handguns, and had many estimates. I have used a few members here in the past and have been happy with all work done.
I recently found out that HudisCo, does more than the Homewrecker Shotguns and called them. I will have a couple rifles returned shortly that were done in single colors of ceracoat by HuDisco. The work, customer service, and attitude of this shop are great. I will be sending them more as I get back on my feet.
I want to recommend HuDisCo, usually known for their Homewrecker Shotguns. I emailed them and found out that they are running a 1/2 price sale on ceracoat work for March. I couldn't have been more pleased with the news of that as all my firearms restorations will be out of pocket. I will be posting some before and after photos soon.
