Any idea how difficult it would be to fit an MWS barrel into one of these?

yes I do . I am going to say its a pain in the ass. The MWS does not have a index pin on the extenstion and will need to be turned down and the extension modded with a pin. Nothing someone who makes barrels couldn't do. It is on my list to try when i get some extra money or find a beater mws barrel

Depending on price I would be game for one of these any rough idea on price? Like $300-500 range or $500+ it sounds like this is a skilled individual just going to do a small batch mostly for himself as a hobby more than the production of it?

No its going to be a production item they will make in batches. I don't have an idea of price but it should be along the lines 300+ or so. It's not a hobbyist item. An armorer has gone through and checked it, they are going to be setup with precision gas guns in mind. I am waiting for them to tell me what they are thinking in terms of pricing and availability. I just got call and the first production ones are getting back from anodizing and being sent over to me.

Trust me I know how long. It took me over a year to find a stripped KAC upper to build a second gun. Since I am in CA I can't get a new one .
Fair enough. Can't wait. And just in time for my tax return too.
Here is an update for everyone. Looks like the Pre order should be open by monday. Here is a rough cost - The anodized upper in the photo is a prototype and the ano guy didn't media blast it so you can see some machine marks.
For LMT and KAC owners - There will be a separate upper on the site that is pre drilled with for use with the larger .281 pins. OBR owners please check your pin size.
$345 - Complete stripped upper with door , hing and spring - 7075 T6 - Mil Spec Type III hardcoat.
$200 - 80% lower - 7075 T6 - Raw - Includes rear Armalite take down pin - Used LR308 parts kit with the exception of the rear take down pin
$165 - Jig

Got my upper today (that sure went quick). The thing is beautiful. Perfect, solid fit on my MWS lower.
