Visitor message

What is a visitor message? How can I find mine, and how can I send them?

My private messages are there, yes. But I don't see any thing about a Visitor message, other than the notification that I received 1. It looks like a regular post, except for me to read only I'm assuming. I want to know how to find it again if I delete the notification, and how to send 1.

I went thru this just the other day lol. Click on your profile, or the members profile that visitor messaged you, you should find it there in recent activity. Note, these are NOT private.

Awesome, now we're getting somewhere! So if they aren't private, are they out there on the forum somewhere also? Who can see them?

Well I'm just a dumb redneck, I've told you about all I know on the subject. Anyone who takes the time to open your profile can see your visitor messages. I don't know why this is an option, as this is the only forum I've ever been on or ever will be on. Joined last year on Scout, now I have to learn this site. They are basically PM's that go onto your profile page. They are no "private" but are directed towards only your public profile.
