Need help on HK94 value

A good friend of mine passed away, and his wife is trying to get rid of his gun collection. I am interested in a lot of his stuff, but want to make sure that she gets what the guns are worth.

He has a brand new in box, never fired, HK94. I was wondering what everyone thought a fair price would be to purchase this gun off of her.

I have googled this for some time now, and i can't really find an answer. Everything that i have turned up is from a couple years ago. Also, there are not many HK94s for sale (none that i could find). Let alone new in box...

I am no help but he didn't have kids or anything? Selling his guns is like when a family inherits a but load of land and just sells it off.

Yes that is correct. Thats why im trying to get a few before they get sold for pennies on the dollar. (which im going to try and make sure doesnt happen as well)

in 80'-90' I have HK 91 308 , HK 93 556 , HK 94 16" barrel 9mm , and HK P7 M13 9mm pistol even I have two Colt Python revolver

but I sell it all get the New one , Why ?

New Hi-End gun is much better ( for me )

I sold a mint HK 94 w A2 Stock and mags for about $4400 last year on the same day I posted it. Look on sturmgewehr and Hk pro web sites for recent sales. There are a lot of SBR mo5 hosts without sears too. Mine was a unchanged one with only a drop in paddle added.

cleaning kit etc. It will easily sell for 5K any day of the week.

Unmolested 94's are very hard to come by. Yes you can buy modified 94's for a lot less, or a clone, or any other standard run of the mill
production line semi auto 9mm. That is not an apple-apples comparison.

You asked a specific question in regards to 1 weapon. That platform is a Great seller especially in the condition you stated.

It is in the original styrofoam insert, however the outside box has no HK markings on it. Im not sure if it came with the cleaning kit either. He told me it was unfired, and upon inspecting it the last time i was over there.... it definitely appeared to be unfired. I hope for her sake we can get close to $4k out of it. I know she found the receipt from when he originally bought it... $6k. HA, she wasnt too thrilled about that. I believe he bought it around 3 years ago. He had the intention of sending it off to get converted to an sbr but he never got around to it.

You should have very little trouble getting $4500.00 to $5000.00 dollars for a NIB HK 94. The reason the 94's are so sought after is that they are the only guns you can use as a donor for a HK MP-5SD. Most shops will not work with non German guns and as I said a 94's barrel can be cut down and ported so that it mimics the factory version of the HK MP-5SD. You will not see any German SD barrels for sale they are unobtainable. unfortunately for her H&K has just re released the SP-5K guns or the value of the gun would still be climbing.
