Goodmorning SH member I have a few questions that I cannot for the life of me find an answer too, has anyone ever rebarreled a Belgium BAR with a say Bartlein etc, also about the Abolt in 6.5 Creedmoor thinking about replacing with a Bartlein 5R sporter? Any advice mainly on the BAR evidently it’s not done that much. Any help would be fantastic

The BAR has a multi lug bolt and attached gas cylinder. Finding a 'smith to take on the job, much less do it correctly would be tough and expensive.
The value of a nice Belgian BAR is generally too high to start making major changes to.
I have a 1970 BAR in 7 Rem Mag that I don't shoot anymore to keep it as nice as possible.
The A-Bolt should be much easier to find a smith to put a new barrel on.
