I built this rifle on a rainier arms 18” Wylde barrel, with a geissele national match trigger. The rest of the lpk and the bcg are PSA. Shot well for 60rds after which the trigger locked and would not discharge rounds. I’m of the opinion that the bcg is the issue. Any thoughts?

So you pulled the trigger. The round discharged and the bolt remained closed? Did the round exit the barrel? Can you manually cycle the bolt?
I would first try to manually cycle the weapon.

I disassembled the rifle and checked for a blockage, stripped and reassembled the bcg. This happened with multiple rounds. A bad box of ammo?
no, round loaded but would not discharge as the trigger was locked back. I manually cycled the bolt but again the trigger would not release.
Does the trigger operate without the upper installed? Might sound basic but is the BCG assembled properly? Is the trigger installed properly?
It does fire without the upper installed. I called Geissele about the trigger, which is installed correctly. The BCG is also assembled correctly. I was wondering if the PSA bolt is the issue.
Yea if the trigger functions without the upper then I would look to the BCG. Easy to swap it out with another to test.
Take the trigger out and re install it. I have seen trigger springs put in all kinds of ways. Sometime they work for awhile and sometime they don’t.

I'm going to pull the trigger on another BCG and see what happens. I have removed and re-installed the trigger also. Unless I let the BCG slap into place it doesn't always go into battery. I will report back as soon as I can and probably contact PSA also. Thanks guys.
If your looking for a top quality bcg, with unconditional lifetime warranty buy one of these. They make BCG's for some of the big name companies in the industry who just put their logo on them and charge a premium. I have a bunch of them and they are top quality. I stripped and reassembled the BCG again and could find no issues there, it was clean and assembled correctly. I noticed before the incident occurred that letting the BCG slam into battery was the only way it would function. If I let it slide in gently it would not go into battery even with the aid of the forward assist.
I reported the issue to PSA and they sent me a form to fill for a return so they could generate a label, that was two days ago and I haven't heard back from them yet. I wonder if it is a problem with the finish on the BCG as there is no way my Rainier Barrel or Geissele High Speed National Match Trigger are at fault, at least by my reckoning. I did order some LPK's from Sons of Liberty and a Toolcraft BCG which arrived today. The next time the weather permits me to get out to the range I will report back.
