ColdBore on Mac

Good morning,

I have the ColdBore phone app, and I want to install the desktop app as well, and I already have some windows based programs like AB Analytics running on my Mac, but for some reason I cannot get the ColdBore program up and running. I use Wine version 1.8. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The only way I have gotten it to work is in Bootcamp. Start up the Mac as a windows machine with it partitioned off.

I was just speaking with Gus via Skype yesterday and he is MS all the way. He worked for Microsoft for like 8 years, so it's Windows only. I doubt he knows anything about WineHQ .

The best I have seen people do is VMWare inside the window, but you have to be running windows proper. I think it has to do with his encryption to lock up the program.

Use Parallels...Simple, cheap and works like a champ. Been using it for a while and have tried them all in my line of work. I have been using CB for a while in this manner.

VMWare is a pig and it doesn't work anywhere near as well in many aspects. Requires more computer OS chops to get going efficiently.

Bootcamp works but requires a dual boot partition so you lose a lot of your hard drive and it is difficult to change after the initial partition sizes are set.

LOL! I can see clearly now why he is not a Mac loving type

I have it running on Parallels and its running great. Only issue is syncing with mobile.

I have it running on a windows phone and now on my mac which is running parallels with windows 10.
