I am trying to make a decision on my next action. I've decided on bighorn, but I'm having trouble finding the differences.

Couple questions:
Does the TL2/SR3 have the mehanical ejector that the TL3 has?

Is the TL2 large or small shank savage threads?

If I'm missing any major differences please let me know!

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

I can answer part of this. The tl2 does not have a mechanical ejector. The tl3 and sr3 do have the mechanical ejector. I believe the tl2 had savage small shank or Remington threads. Also the tl3/sr3 have the controlled round feed versus push feed. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong on any of that. Hope that helps.

The TL2 is a discontinued product so the only way to get one is to buy from the used market. They are very good actions though not all the TL2's (most in fact do not) have Savage threads. You need to know what you're buying if you buy used. To my knowledge the TL2's were never made with large shank savage threads. The TL3/SR3 never was.

The SR3 can be had with remington or wyatt's box feed rails. It is more open top than the Tactical and weighs 2oz less. SR is more of the hunting action.

Both the TL3 and SR3 use the same ejector and are both CRF with an inertial springfield style ejector.

Thank you guys! That helps a lot. Can the sr3 be used with aics mags?

The SR has standard remington type feed lip rails in the magazine cutout. You can use it with BDL hinged floor plates and AICS bottom metal. The TL3 has the option of AICS cut, or AIAW cut. The AICS cut will allow you to use AICS mags only, while the AIAW cut will allow AW mags and AICS mags.
