I just had a Remington 700 in .300WM built. I’m trying to get a realistic value.
All parts were purchased new and rifle is in new condition.
Rem 700 Carbon Magnum Long Action, Bell & Carlson Tactical Long Range Stock, M40 Recoil Lug, MBM 3-Port Lil Beast Brake, Rock Creek Stainless Barrel w/.308 Rifling Sendero Profile, and MagPul Bottom “Metal” w/Mag.
Rifle was chambered in .300WM, blueprinted, fully bedded, and Brake timed/installed to match profile, and cerakoted OD Green to match stock.
$1250 in parts and $800 in labor/machine work.
Thanks for your help!

generally, take what you paid for it, and cut it in half.....dont count labor costs, you dont get those back.

ide price it between $600-700.

custom rifles are like custom cars.....unless you find the one person who wants exactly that car with exactly those mods, you are going to take a bath.

Idk, its brand new, right? I would say something like the 1200 would be a fine starting place. I would probably ask for a bit more to try and recoup costs myself but I could see it not selling for more than that as well. Depends on your patience and who did the work. If it was someone notable you probably would have said, so Im going to assume that its not going to fetch a premium for that so the bedding and other work is sort of immaterial.

I was hoping/assuming that the rifle would have more value than what I have into it. No one seems to confirm that though. So, rather than lose my britches in sale, I’ll be keeping this thing. Gotta save some change for a respectable piece of glass. Thanks y’all

that was my hunch why you were asking. shoot it and enjoy it!

Or is he asking because he doesn't have the post count in order to list it for sale in the PX? :)
saw that happen earlier this week, 100 posts in two days then rifle went up for sale, but this post was clean and to the point.
