Those who have proven they can not be self sufficient, keep their legs closed or their dick in their pants, the privilege of voting the direction of this country?
How is it they have proven they are incapable of eating, providing shelter, paying their medical bills w/o sucking from the public tit, yet they are allowed to vote???
Someone explain to me how they have enough competence to direct this country, when they can not direct their own lives. To me allowing them to vote is insane !

1 - mandatory IQ test - below 100- sorry your too stupid to vote, you cannot possibly make an informed decision based on the information that is available to you. - Will get rid of all the low information voters.
2 - produce an ID and a tax return - if you belong in the country,are not deceased, have served and defended the country and produce for the country - you can vote - gets rid of probably 25% of the democrats base.
Pretty simple solution to getting back on track. I never understood how someone who takes from the country and doesn't contribute anything toward the betterment of the country can have the same privilege as someone who actually produces for the country!

A great many things have been tried over the years.

Having to show Valid Identification to vote (which shows your citizenship status & can be checked against the verified voter rolls) seems to be the best start, especially in this day and age when everything else requires it & if you can't be assed to get out to get the near free basic ID card, then sorry you don't vote till you put a minimum of effort out.

We need to get back to the basics from the constitution that was clearly understood by the first sets of government here, the government is NOT in the business of handing out welfare, subsides, supports etc. Charity should be done by private / religious / social groups as they want. The first few presidents were very strong on that, and it was not till the 20th century that the Government started being in the direct wealth distribution business which ruined so much.

The age to Vote should be the same age as you can have whatever Gun you want, smoke, drink alcohol, face the death penalty & drive, so whichever one is the highest, well that's the same age you need to be to vote.

However to be honest, I think we should raise the voting age to around 30, to make sure everyone has had enough of a chance to see how life actually works, what liars the politicians are and possibly have maybe had a chance to earn a living. Much like we have a lower age limit on the presidency. We could perhaps make an exception for those that have spent at least 4 years in the military.

Get rid of all "progressive" taxes. Whatever tax we decide, it is the same for every person, every corporation and every income type (one of this special low rates for rich "investors" with their capital gains), it must be the same percentage from $1 on up and apply to people working, or retired, or on any other assistance just the same. It's easy to want to tax the "rich" but when you now have to pay the same taxes it becomes a whole new ball game. (If you want to have a threshold where taxes start, fine, but it's the same for everyone and it all goes up the same after that).
No tax refunds that exceed what you paid to the government that year for any reason, you have 12 kids and didn't work, well no free tax money just cause you have kids.

Eventually this country is going to collapse on itself. Its simple math really......you cannot continuously give out more than you take in it will eventually catch up with you no matter how much fuzzy math you try to use to avoid it. When socialists run out of easy money, they become communists and go "redistributing" at literal gunpoint.
Look no further than Venezuela for a modern example... sending the armed units in to "confiscate" and "Redistribute" Christmas toys... which somehow still never made it to any of the "poor downtrodden citizens".

Spent time stocking up emergency food and water for your family..... When the losers who couldn't bother to prepare start to whine, they will send the army to your door to take your food at gunpoint & leave you to starve.... just check out the current laws... all in there.

The problem with that statement is most of those people have either served this country and or have paid taxes into the system their whole lives. While not 100% its a far higher percentage, think large majority percentage, than the welfare takers who vote the other side of the aisle that have paid taxes or served this country.
