No Shit, right? That's gonna make a few orders of Fish n Chips right there. I wish they woulda sent me a pic of the jowls. Mouth full of nasty teeth on them tasty bastards.
Buddy sent it to me. He's been going out for Sea Bass n Ling Cod outta Westport. I believe the dude in the pic was the one on the charter that hauled it in. But you're right. That's gonna feed some people for a while.
Really? I gotta tell ya I not only never knew that, but I've never even heard that before. And I've spent a bit o time on the water, on both coasts and beyond. Just goes to show ya. You're never too old to learn sumth'n. They were fun as hell to catch when I was over there. Line stripping sum bitches fo sho. Makes me smile just thinking about'm. Remember the first one coming outta Sigsbee Marina when I lived on the island and was trolling a big silver spoon out by some pilings near Wisteria Island.

It's been a while, but yeah. Cat food in the shrimp pots @ 180 ft. In Dabob Bay. Nothing tastier than fresh caught shrimp. Gave it up after I got a ticket for being over limit after one pull. I hear ya. I don't make the trip anymore up there just for that reason. Hate being screwed with on the water and WDFW can't seem to get over themselves. I'm not a fan of the policies.
They are dead when you bring them up from that far down, but you have to toss them back overboard. What a crock! I think the daily limit is 20 for the 3 day season. Not worth it, but that's the way they want it.
Feel like shit everytime ya have to toss a fish with an adipose that's had it's gills ripped up as well. Gimme my 2 fish and I'll get off the water. There is no such thing as a 'native' anymore. But everyone knows that. Makes no sense. I'm bout ready to go on a unhealthy rant, so I'll stop.
Man I’m jealous on that ling! I haven’t been out in a long time. Use to fish the Jetta in Westport all the time when I was younger. I only live about 30 minutes from there.
