No, that is Liberalism at its finest.
It just illustrates how far apart we are, and how insane unlimited-government leftists are. If our police and prosecutor did this here they would be fired/removed from office immediately. They might get charged themselves, and they would probably get sued by the person they re-victimized six ways to Sunday. Then again we have Castle Doctrine to prevent rogue prosecutors and rogue officers from victimizing law abiding citizens defending themselves. British subjects have no rights or protections whatsoever.
They still have the old Guy Locked up Tonight,@Clearlight
I respect your input on this matter but to be arrested on "suspicion" of a crime that simply involves self defense is complete and utter bullshit.
When did self defense become a crime?
I guess the old fella should have just cowered in his bedroom while armed criminals ransacked his home.
Thank God we have Castle Doctrine laws here that DO NOT PREVENT (permission is inalienable) us from protecting our home, our possessions and mostly our families.
You've seen this guy right?London is screwed. Just a matter of time before its Londonistan. They are just making it easy
Yeah and he was born and raised here, went to school here,

They still have the old Guy Locked up Tonight,
the government changed the Laws about this a few years ago which allowed persons the right to defend them selves but they seem to have denied this Guy these rights even though all he did was defend him self.
Sarah Robinson was just a teenager when World War II broke out.
She endured the Blitz, watching for fires during Luftwaffe air raids armed with a bucket of sand.
Often she would walk ten miles home from work in the blackout, with bombs falling around her.
As soon as she turned 18, she joined the Royal Navy to do her bit for the war effort.
Hers was a small part in a huge, history-making enterprise, and her contribution epitomises her generation's sense of service and sacrifice.
Nearly 400,000 Britons died. Millions more were scarred by the experience, physically and mentally.
But was it worth it? Her answer - and the answer of many of her contemporaries, now in their 80s and 90s - is a resounding No.
