Got this today, its made by surefire, they call it the Masterfire. Very interesting. It needs to be on a belt, but ive only had it a few hours. The holster inerfaces with certain Surefire weapons lights. As long as the pistol has a forward rail, it will work.

Those are my vids. The button is essentially placed like a safariland sls, under the thumb. Its angled differently though, and pressing it releases the retention (which is grabbing the light). That direction of force by the thumb also ejects the gun(body mechanics, not holster mechanism).

I was wondering how real folks liked this holster. Have found gun blog and magazine reviews, but take them with a grain of salt...I like the concept, but this setup seems a bit bulky for anything other than duty/range use.

I have not seen one in person so I wanted to know if it covers the trigger from being activated by say a twig or kids finger getting in there like some Safariland WML holsters. I've been interested in checking this out but want to play with it first.

    Got one. Trigger is covered.

Now if surefire could just start shipping the XH30 id be happy...

Some guys are bashing the design saying its just a way to push their lights. Maybe, but bending kydex for that specific light is just as easy as doing it for any other light.

Works well on my end since i have a 1911 Railed Sig and kydex for those is a diy affair most of the time.

Ya, I've heard the bitching about Surefire just wanting to sell more weapon lights, but if you invested in a new light you would only need 1 holster for damn near any pistol in your arsenal with the light attached...would love to see this concept in a CCW style OWB holster.
