ARD with straws?

Old Woman's Nylon stocking under the obj cover will work just as well. Another option is drilling a 3/8"-5/8" hole in the objective cover. Either will get the job done as far as reflection is concerned. A drilled hole, covered with a stocking is very hard to find but, will do nothing if a lazer is used against you.

Titties thanks. You spend anytime in the military? I've noticed you are an encyclopedia of field knowledge. Always appreciate more knowledge.

May, kill the flash cheaply, but I doubt it will do anything if someone scans it with a laser.

If the ARD is any good you gotta be looking almost straight at it to see it. They're good for more than just preventing flash too, even a small ARD is more effective than an average sun shade. The USO ARD is built into a long sun shade and those are pretty nice.

The laser shouldn't be fired until the rifle is. It should be treated like an ND in the field.
